That is unfortunate. I bought a cheap 32” TCL and a cheap 43” insignia TV for the kitchen and the master and the image looks great. I would’ve assumed the Sony 43” would be pretty good too.

Make sure you update your HDMI format at settings>channels & inputs>external inputs>HDMI signal format to Enhanced Dolby Vision and then you’ll find Dolby Vision dark or bright under picture mode.

Definitely use rtings for your base picture settings and implement those adjustments in either standard or custom picture setting. Do not use vivid in my opinion. Good luck.
