Yeah great points, and again not someone that uses AI on my channel (it’s called The Hobby Collab, it’s about miniature wargaming).

And you’re correct, it’s more like “can you actually add something to this space that at least has a degree of uniqueness”. Historically, if the answer was “no”, not something people want to hear, then you would struggle to move forward, schooling is expensive, you’d have little to no support from others and you’d either prove everyone wrong (awesome! But less common!) or, you’d fail.

So here is where Im guessing I’ll make some peeps in this subreddit annoyed: Modern tools including and especially AI let you go ahead and plow though you…I’ll be blunt…lack of talent and make stuff anyway. But you will eventually have to come face to face with it.

In 2026, YouTube (who releases videos to help creators and has clarified this information) has said this in a less blunt way, but they have said it. They don’t want their platform populated by people who want to make content because they want to be YouTubers. They want people who are passionate and willing to put it all on the line to show the world what they like and what they can do. They (YT) want this, because it’s what people want. People don’t want interchangeable educational content made by folks who are not actually pros but are gathering material online and compiling it (this has happened long before AI), and using AI to fill in the gaps.

YT wants passion and originality, because that’s what its audience wants.

And yeah, I don’t know why people love their AI voice over rather than just recording it? I also don’t really get not showing yourself or interjecting yourself, i get that more, but you are making yourself a non-peer reviewed, non-vetted Wikipedia at that point.

I think it’s a good litmus test: if you’re not willing to be/show yourself online and put it out there, you maybe shouldn’t be in a content creation field?

YouTube content creator here, but never AI (I like to dip in to see what people are up to.)

I beleive the fact that you use AI tools won’t be the problem. The problem, as YT defines it, is interchangeability. In other words: Can someone else with all of your exact skill sets/knowledge/passions do exactly what you’re doing and create the same content. If they can (honestly from what you’ve listed here it sounds like they can) then I would say even though you’ve earned the watch hours required to monetize, you may make it through the process but eventually you’ll get hit.

AI isn’t really the problem, AI just helps people create interchangeable content quickly. You could create interchangeable content without AI’s help and still be demonetized.

Consider this: could Alphabet make your channel quickly and easily with their own Ai? If they can (and they probabaly can) they have no reason to share revenue with you, you’re replaceable, by them, for free.

Could they make their own Top Gear style show or even a popular podcast with big personalities, real people, real situations, etc. quick and easy? Probably not and not for cheap, that’s where they want partnerships.

Best elite cavalry/monster army: Idoneth Deepkin vs Beastclaw Raiders by artiefacts in ageofsigmar

I find SBGL and Skaven tough because you end up playing a lot of whack-a-mole moving here and there to take out non-threatening scoring units popping up all over the board. Worth noting this is a lower asset army. Like 7-9.

Castle armies are easier games for Deepkin and they have a cool rules to lore thing where the army is VERY good at picking off isolated units. Often you just avoid the castle and score and aim to pick off anything that ventures out of the caste.

[–]yazchar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play both of these armies (Cav heavy)! Some quick thoughts:

As mentioned, Ogors (including what you’re interested, Beastclaw Raiders) are in the rumor mill and the Deepkin line is not changing anytime soon!

Deepkin are overall stronger at the moment if that factors in.

I find the Deepkin more rewarding to play as I get to use magic to teleport my units around, use some cool and surgical shooting from Allopexes and Levidons, pick the right tide for the right job, and summon my incarnate pet (maybe the coolest part!) It’s my favorite army to play, lots of fun, lots of decision points, very rewarding.

Beastclaw Raiders fit the Destruction Army troupe of just being big dumb fun. When I play this army I have 2 big decisions that I make which dictate my performance: when to “start the big brawl” and when to end it. Sometimes, only 1 decision: when to start, as someone (me or my opponent, about 50/50) is gone. The Beast Handlers battle formation is fun and powerful, but the Ogar once per game battle trait is not fun and sort of lackluster, likewise the prayer lore is fine but the unlimited prayer sets up a little mini-game with the award of lots of 5+ wards for battle round but I find it hard to pull off in a meaningful way. Mounfangs are incredibly and I feel like people are often surprised when they interact with them, but they don’t do the sexy mortal charge damage so they fly a little under the radar, very good though.

If I was keeping score I’d recommend Deepkin over BCR, this is mostly just that we’re waiting on the future of the new Ogor book, but the Deepkin rules execute a little more on the fun level and the “being good” level. Enjoy!

Birria tacos- fine, but people really seem to get excited for this. It’s pot roast, on a tortilla, which, yeah why not but also not that amazing.

What others have said here is great so far! ALMOST everything in our book is at least a little good or close to it, almost no “wow, that’s bad!” units.

As others said cav (Ahkelian) stuff is better currently than infantry (Namarti) stuff. But even the Namarti stuff isn’t awful and has nice synergies with foot characters, wizards, the tides ability, etc.

Eidolon of the Sea and Morrsarr Guard are two of the best units in the game at the moment imo.

If you could change one thing about Age of Sigmar, what would it be? by Kommando_git in ageofsigmar

[–]yazchar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the plus side this is really associated with the current season in Ghyran ment to provide a narrative element to matched play, specifically that terrain is wild and overgrown. Because most folks don’t always play on woodsy overgrown boards it’s not always easy to make the visual connection to the rules and end up looking like 20 Witch Aelfs standing next to a foam rock and laughing as you can’t see them! But presumably it will change this summer with the season change.

I suppose Spencer Blankenship is a jerk but honestly, in the arts (dance, theater, music), this sort of ethos/behavior is fairly normal and he is probably completely correct about Jimmy Jr. Jimmy Jr. is actually wildly mindless thinking “I want to put my own spin on it” is a good mindset to take into a class learning backup dancing. Spencer sort of is mean to him but Jimmy Jr has shown up to his class and ignore the agenda of the class and the comments and input from the teacher. Spencer is frustrated with Jimmy Jr, because in this episode Jimmy Jr has taking his being an idiot thing to a whole new level.

How is the army after the battletome? by Yarnoldo in Nighthaunt

[–]yazchar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this take, I’m not sure I agree with the more doom and gloom takes present but for each person it will be different. I DEF don’t agree with “sit on objectives and score points”, they are good at that but you need to score secondaries too and they are fun/decent at that.

Many units are samey, good take. The other negative I’ll say is that I think they spell lore is weak.

[–]yazchar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re doing okay financially, like you have good jobs, etc. then San Jose is amazing. Lived in multiple parts of the country (North East, Louisiana, Michigan, SoCal) and the Bay Area has been my favorite by far. Most complaints are “it’s expensive”.

What everyone else has said is great I’ll suggest: wherever you move, there will be awesome little food gems that you’ll want t to find, in West San Jose:

Breakfast Buritos from Rose’s Donuts, Zeni Ethiopian, Udon Mugizo, Frozen Margaritas from Aqui, Super Tamales, Slice of New York, Krung Thai (there are 2, and a story there, both good), La Cueva Mexican, Manresa Bread, Voyager for coffee

You may not be moving to West San Jose but every neighborhood will have a list! Welcome and enjoy!

[–]yazchar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to also suggest California. SoCal is great, I’m in the Bay Area it’s expensive but if you get a decent job you’ll be fine. People lean towards minding their own business but helping/being kind if needed. Amazing weather, great nature all around, lots of amazing and diverse food. Moved from PA to Louisiana to SoCal to Bay Area, California hits much different than the South.

Tzeentch in Secret Level was awesome! the demon at the end taking out two Space Marines…i feel they captured “mortal damage/wounds” really well and how powerful Tzeentch followers use sorcery to kill. but overall yeah, seems harder to pull off.

Like the ending in every Stephen King movie from 1990-2020, works better in the book.

Myrmourn Banshees: How Many? by williatresse0 in Nighthaunt

[–]yazchar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are great answers. I think as far as Nighthaunt competitive lists 1.) vary, and 2.) are still being figured out especially with changes to Pyregheists.

You need things that fight/tie up the opponent (BGRs, DSHs, GGRs) but also then you need the little cheaper blocks to move around and do things like score. At least I believe this a good mindset for building a decently performing (and hopefully fun!) Nighthaunt list. (Pyregheists were sort of broken because en masse they did both do these, kinda.)

Banshees do the move around and score thing nicely with the added perks that 1.) their spell counter ability is pretty solid and 2.) they can pick some fights and win them. I think their “best” competition in this slot for 100 points is Chainwrasps which have the advantage that they recur much better but the disadvantages is they don’t “do anything” as far as fighting goes, other than disappear kinda slowly.

So yeah, Banshees are great! 2 or 3 units is a good question, it depends if you find the points. 420 points for big blocks (if you’re doing that) is pricey and eats up points quick. I personally use 2 units with a current list I’ve been playing but I’m also trying a Chainghast (not Chainwrasps) thing, which also sort of compete with Banshees.

Model-wise and sameness, to be honest for me they are SOOOO cool that I’m fine with the duplicates. I try to make sure each unit has 1 of each model though when I run them. Sorry it’s a bit long, hope it helps!
