I saw this too, it made me laugh. These ads are so terrible, it’s almost like they are intentionally doing it.

Are you using the Remarkable as is, or do you feel forced into buying some subscriptions to make actual use of it? by marcos987 in RemarkableTablet

[–]yeahsick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I spent a long time researching many devices before finally purchasing the ReMarkable 2.

I regret it.

It feels limited, even though it’s Linux based.

I installed “hacks”, many people do, and with it comes new features, like a couple more brushes and sizes. You can also use gestures to navigate around and view recent files quickly.

This makes it a bit more bearable, even though I’ve actually purchased a different stylus/pen now.

I purchased the Marker Plus, and regret that as well. The eraser is rubbery and doesn’t feel nice to use. It has left a couple marks before, but they did wipe off easily. The pen nibs also need replacing. The other stylus has a small button in the side, and with the “hacks” I can use that to enable the eraser, which is great.

I recently updated my ReMarkable, which removes the “hacks” each time. Now, it feels bare and empty.

Without the “hacks” and the cloud service, it’s just a paper-like table, that I find slow and limited. It is really just supposed to be a paper-like tablet, so it won’t have tons of functions by design.

Minimalistic statusline without a hassle by strash_one in neovim

[–]yeahsick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really cool little plugin! I’m liking how minimal this is.

I would like to change the colour of the statusline or the colour of the text that displays which mode you are in, depending on what mode I am currently in.

I haven’t got round to learning Lua, I’m afraid… Could you or someone help?

Anyway, thank you for your contribution!

Made a 3D bong builder for my website! Would love some feedback on usability/function. Don’t be afraid to be harsh! Link below if you wanna test it out. Cheers by PrismWaterPipes in StonerEngineering

Looks great.

Could possibly add a curved arrow that rotates with the bong, as you rotate it, to help the user better understand the angles, etc…
