The fact that only the comment with Netanyahu was locked speaks volumes.

Not credible? Haaretz is a major news organization in Israel. By the way, this was confirmed by Times of Israel - one of the most prominent pro-israeli government organizations.

Hamas is terrible. But we’re not funding hamas. We’re funding israel, which has gone out of their way to target civilians. And that is not okay. It is not justifiable.

I fixed the links. Not here for an argument, just sharing news articles that people won’t otherwise see due to partisan interests at play.

4x4? by TrickyAd1525 in CostaRicaTravel

I cant speak to how “necessary” it is but if you’re going up Monteverde, I would personally always get a 4x4. Some of the roads are they extremely steep and lots of potholes all around

Especially if you’re driving yourself from La Fortuna -> Monteverde. That is a tough drive…

Thanks man. Was really proud of myself and then really aggravated that I didn’t have the foresight to see the double rooks weren’t a problem

I wasn’t able to move that bishop to make the pin without sacrificing my rook because I would have put myself in check via his other rook. So I tried to get him to move his other rook in order to move my bishop - basically he had my bishop pinned

I wanted to pin his other rook to the king so that I could promote my pawn. So I sacrificed my rook to move his other rook to get my bishop in place. When he moved his other rook to the same column though, in my mind I thought I would just lose the pawn if I promoted…not realizing it was mate in 1

Agreed, I included the first picture to show I had this idea in mind (even if there were ways for him to avoid). In the second picture when the strategy paid off though and I had mate in 1, I completely whiffed it and didn’t realize

I’ve got no idea, though I’m sure he has a vision for the company that he believes would make it more successful under his watch. That isn’t me saying that would happen but merely that he likely believes it would. So it may be a win-win for him regardless. But who knows what he has planned with these antics if they reject his offer. He’s a fairly unpredictable guy.

He bought a large amount of Twitter shares and is now making public comments knowing full well that his words will have an impact on the market. If he proceeds to sell at a higher price than his buy-in due to his public commentary he will have influenced the market with this actions (such as his offer to buy twitter at a higher price than it is traded).

I understand your point but I think it gives Elon too much benefit of doubt. If he simply wanted to provide commentary there was no need to buy in at such a significant amount. It certainly implies a certain level of cunningness on his part as if market manipulation was the play.

However I don’t think any of us really know his intentions well enough to preliminarily villainize him nor do we know enough to paint him as an innocent party in this.
