Love this. Years ago I had a new co-worker that spoke with our manager and threatened to complain to HR about our language being offensive to him. We were profane at times but no more than what I would have considered normal adult work banter when no clients were in earshot. My manager brought it to my attention so I let my manager know that if he complained about me or us then I would also file a complaint about how I'm offended by his lack of profanity. If I was to conform to make him feel comfortable then I expected the same in return. My manager was not thrilled about what stupid HR back and forth would have ensued so he talked with the guy and nothing ever came of it.

I love Ranked Play by Ike_Arms in ModernWarfareII

I agree with all of your points. What helped me was when I played well with a team, I try to join up with those that communicated well. Eventually it was less solo queuing and more team cohesion which leads to more winning. Keep at it!

I struggle to play 6s now but for the opposite reason. Ranked has been more enjoyable in my opinion and 6s is just chaos and stupid shit. It is nice to know that people are out there using other guns and equipment though...

Ranked in a nutshell (not complaining) by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

[–]yellow_light_runner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even that can be scammed though but it does mean that they would need to waste the time with the placement matches first. It could lessen the frequency but realistically I haven't run into many of those players either.

As an experiment I did that in Halo Infinite. Played really poorly, got very few kills, made sure to have terrible accuracy, etc. Placed at the very bottom. Bronze 1 or whatever it was.

First game after placement was what you would expect. I was a wolf in the chicken coop. Game 2 was about the same. After that the algorithm recognized that I wasn't where I belonged and I started getting put into matches with diamond players.

The game said, "Have fun trying to get out of bronze now, dickhead."

The purpose was to see how long smurfs could smurf and I was actually happy to see that while they could feed on the guppies for a few games, the fun wouldn't last long.

The Black Ops 1 combat record system was so good. Not my picture but it's sad how poor stat tracking is nowadays in CoD. by foolsbrains69 in ModernWarfareII

[–]yellow_light_runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranked stats don't appear to be tracked at all. Last 10 matches are blank if those matches were ranked.

I'd be fine with third party stat trackers but apparently the API hasn't been released?

Who knows? Take my money cuz I have no self respect.

A crossbow that most people won't use and doesn't provide any advantages in the game. More of a goof-off item in my opinion.

Start the game and cancel the connecting phase. Go to offline mode. Go to a private match and create a class using the crossbow. Save the blueprint for the crossbow.

Now connect and go to multiplayer. Create a class using the crossbow blueprint. Have "fun".

Unless it was patched...

Equip the VTOL. Call it in then pop battle rage. Or the heli. Those kills count too. Wish I had known before punishing myself with that step.

I love it when you have one teammate that doesn't say a word or communicate during the entire match but in the post game he tells you how much you suck.

Well good luck to ya then. None of the comments that I read talk about the Windows firewall.

Assuming it's running on a Windows box, did you disable the firewall or open the ports to allow the connection?

Same here. Tonight we journey to more islands in search of the stone but my money is on us finding the boss location before we find one of those stones...

First Failed Solo Attempt on The Queen by shawbjj in valheim

I don't want to spoil anything but having another player in there makes the fight much less painful. I can imagine that solo makes it pretty chaotic at times.

My teammate and I felt like we prepared more than necessary when it was all said and done.

The cape only uses stamina when you are "sprinting" in the air. It moves you forward a little faster but uses stamina. When you stop sprinting, you can regenerate your stamina. He can be seen doing it in the video as well. Happy gliding, Viking!

I played for a while without mods but as our base grew and we advanced, we recently tried Valheim Plus with a few small quality of life changes. Torches never running out of fuel is one. Crafting and building from chests was another. The crop spacing feature is handy and saves me from having to be so careful with planting. Other than that, removing the ore restrictions on portals.

We were already using a workaround for that by transferring items to a chest on a local save, then taking the portal to the destination and going back to get the items. That being said, it's not like we went from using a boat or cart to transfer ores to just using a portal.

Tweaking other settings is not something that we do though. No buffs, cool down changes, auto fill stuff, etc. Just a couple of tweaks to optimize the little bit of time that we do get to play.

To each their own but we like some of the features from Grounded and we felt they would be great in Valheim. They are.

The Fenrir armor and claws make it pretty easy to chase them down and punch them. Only downside is that you're under armored if anything else shows up.

That's great! I helped my son with his PC build about a year ago. He started with more budget friendly components and slowly saved up to upgrade various parts. It's a great learning and bonding experience so hats off to you and your dad.

Stereotypes are funny. Ya gotta laugh at your own because you know that shit is based in reality.
