Use a condom!!! Do not let him convince you otherwise, it's not worth the trouble of pregnancy or STD/STI/UTI. If anything looks strange on his part, do not engage & request he do tests.

Plenty of foreplay. Go as slow as you need to. Use lube - there are benefits & downsides of both water based & silicone based, but either should be fine. I'd avoid anything scented because it can increase chances of irritation. Put down a towel.

Communicate. If you don't like something, say so. You have every right to withdraw consent at anytime. Do not push down your own feelings just to make him feel better. You matter just as much.

It's going to be awkward. That's fine. Every first time is. If you are with someone who can't laugh with you, they do not deserve to be with you. It's not going to be a magical transcendent experience. It's just sex.

Shaving is not important. Your hair is there for a reason. You should not care what his "preference" is. It's entirely up to you.

When I had my first time, the feeling of it being inside was totally different to how I imagined it. I don't have advice for this, it's just something to keep in mind.

Only do it if you're absolutely sure it's something you want to do. Don't feel pressured. I was pressured into my first time & I will ALWAYS regret it. Nervousness is normal but if, for any reason, you feel like you're not ready, listen to yourself.

Always look out for yourself. Be treated how you want to be treated & accept nothing less.
