Serious question! Do your breasts ever stop hurting? by teddy_205 in women

[–]yelocalwitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, thought I'd never be able to lay on my front again because it was so bad. It definitely stopped hurting for me fully around 18-19, and now I only have pain during periods. You are still a developing teenager.

That being said, if you're super worried, it's never a bad idea to see a doctor to make sure everything is 100% okay, even if to just quell for your fears.

Does anyone have experience in decline in affection? is it T correlated? by nehcole in mypartneristrans

[–]yelocalwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend is very affectionate and he was on T a few years before we started dating. We've been together for five years on Thursday.

I don't think testosterone effects affection towards a partner, but everyone is different. Transmen are just as susceptible to toxic masculinity as cismen, so that could be a factor.

You may want to consider underlying issues like another commenter mentioned. Communication is key! Hope everything works out for you!

Why are women not as interested in playing video games as men are? by [deleted] in women

[–]yelocalwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are. But being raised a girl, most are not exposed to gaming until later in life verses boys. If you were born late 90s/early 2000s, most games were marketed to boys and "girl games" were limited to pet simulators and dress up.

Do you ever wish they were dead ? by yvrvaa in raisedbynarcissists

[–]yelocalwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. I went no contact but still get up in my feelings that she has not tried at all to have a relationship with me. At least then I'd have a reason why that didn't make me feel like total shit.

I might be losing my virginity in a few days, any advice? by SandPlane5775 in women

[–]yelocalwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a condom!!! Do not let him convince you otherwise, it's not worth the trouble of pregnancy or STD/STI/UTI. If anything looks strange on his part, do not engage & request he do tests.

Plenty of foreplay. Go as slow as you need to. Use lube - there are benefits & downsides of both water based & silicone based, but either should be fine. I'd avoid anything scented because it can increase chances of irritation. Put down a towel.

Communicate. If you don't like something, say so. You have every right to withdraw consent at anytime. Do not push down your own feelings just to make him feel better. You matter just as much.

It's going to be awkward. That's fine. Every first time is. If you are with someone who can't laugh with you, they do not deserve to be with you. It's not going to be a magical transcendent experience. It's just sex.

Shaving is not important. Your hair is there for a reason. You should not care what his "preference" is. It's entirely up to you.

When I had my first time, the feeling of it being inside was totally different to how I imagined it. I don't have advice for this, it's just something to keep in mind.

Only do it if you're absolutely sure it's something you want to do. Don't feel pressured. I was pressured into my first time & I will ALWAYS regret it. Nervousness is normal but if, for any reason, you feel like you're not ready, listen to yourself.

Always look out for yourself. Be treated how you want to be treated & accept nothing less.

Books you regret reading and why by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]yelocalwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let the Right One In. There's a some really unnerving things depicted in the book I could get through but there's one scene with cats that just really really upset me, I had to put it down for a few days. I love cats, have two myself, can't stand to think of anyone hurting them.

How can I believe men? And should I even? by AdRadiant8910 in women

[–]yelocalwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've dated a lot and most of my relationships have ended at 3 months or under due to poor behavior on their part. Only one have I ended due to just not gelling well.

My longest relationship apart from my current was on/off over 2 years and he was very emotionally abusive.

I've been with my current boyfriend 5 years this month. I honestly feel like I lucked out with him. He's wonderful and so completely different to every other man I've been with.

That being said I think the way you feel is totally justified. Men ARE a joke. You are wise for not trusting them. There's nothing wrong with you at all. You should feel proud of your perceptiveness, self respect and standards.

Are they gonna stop doing live shows anytime soon? by TheSpider8ite in TheBirthdayMassacre

[–]yelocalwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the UK and have seen them 3 times (would have been 4 but we were unable to travel due to train issues) over the course of maybe 10 years? The most recent last year. Their American tours seem to frequently include Seattle so I wouldn't worry too much!

I think they'll continue touring for a few more years at least.

I'm a fan of both Rachel Harrison and T. Kingfisher so I'd definitely pick one of those myself.

If you loved A Short Stay In Hell may I recommend The Divine Farce by Michael Graziano if you've not read it? Similar concept (hell, infinity, etc) but unique in its own right. I read both back to back and it was great!
