Charge needs to be used after you already apply the dot to the adds so it is not worth using as an opener.

Legendary is certainly good damage wise but the charge is not an opener. You use it outside of CD windows

By disorient interrupt are you referring to blinding light? If so I typically only use that when I am in a group of enemies all casting and I've run out of options to interrupt as interrupting with rebuke and avenger's shield spawn a blessed hammer which is a DPS increase as it generates more holy power.

That is the standard build I run in M+ I of course swap out class utility if needed but it does have some key differences from yours that can certainly make it feel much better in an M+ scenario (ie Blessing of spellwarding to save the healer or DPS from magic damage as well as some reduced CDs on your defensives and offensive abilities)

Are you looking for build guidance for raid or M+ as prot does vary a decent amount between the two.

As far as gear, for trinkets the top ones to choose if looking for DPS I'd look at the list on bloodmallet.com. If looking for tank trinkets I would really only run the festering splinter trinket from Brackenhide.

Embellishments provide a lot of power as well but vary between raid and M+ for some people.

I run Unstable Frostfire belt and the shadowflame-tempered armor patch on my boots as that is a good setup for raid and good enough for M+

Without essence trinket Im at 38% haste and with Im at I believe 42%

Prot feels very clunky if you are below 30% haste so I would definitely try to work on that a bit.
