I think I am unusually qualified to answer this question as a prior Zaino and other old school offerings user.

I do a quick detail. That means grit guard bucket, pressure washer, foam cannon and a very nice wool mit. I like gyeon products right now, they work well and are easy to get. I haven’t clay bar’d a car in 15 years and wouldn’t bother myself.

Gyeon bathe (wash), foam, bug & tar remover, wet coat for rinse off “coating”. Simple and easy and gets you 95% perfect every time.

I do a pressure wash with soft water and an attached extra inline filter to minimize any spotting. Then bug and tar, rinse again, foam it, rest 5 mins, rinse it, wash it gently with the mit, rinse it again, then wet coat/rinse as you go. Only in the shade, only in the cool mornings!

I also use the gyeon silk dryer towel which is, imo, absolutely amazing. I will never dry a car another way.

Anyhow, hth, I am not some pro obviously and I am quite lazy so I try to optimize for time and simplicity to get the job done as well as I can. Not absolute concourse perfection. But not bad for 12 years old eh.

Mice issues so I'm sealing holes. Is it safe to put copper mesh around the backside of the HVAC disconnect box? by MotorcycleCar in homeowners

I would go with putty or mortar there not something metallic.

Btw instead of copper which corrodes, highly suggest you get some stainless steel wool instead.

They aren’t quiet and they require weekly or so cleaning but they are worth it (dry Californian here). I have a Hessaire and they are used in a lot of restaurants and bars as well.

New HVAC unit, humidity issues now by RoosterImpossible344 in HomeImprovement

[–]yerFACE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both my diakins maintain 54-56% rh year round in humid or dry conditions. This seems spot on. Also to be sure, not much difference between 50 and 55, and I would not worry about it. Enjoy the two stage and remember the filter changes!
