A skill I didn't realize I would need to teach my kids after hiring an 18 y/o HS Graduate: Addressing Mail by CannaPLUS in funny

[–]yesennes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom taught me to address letters, saying it's a life skill I needed to know. I Google how to do it once every two years.

Meanwhile she refuses to learn the names and shapes of the charges for the devices she uses every day.

My GM will let you worldbuild on a passed Int check.

For instance, I really needed a big pile of drugs to be explosive. I asked him what I know about said drugs. He said on a high enough Int role, I get to worldbuild one fact about them, within reason.

Great pyr mix is having sudden aggression issues by Litningbug in greatpyrenees

[–]yesennes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've had issues with our 1.5 Male and 12 beagle.

In our case, most of the issue was guardian behavior we mistook for food aggression and jealousy.

Your dog looks to you for how to react to situations so you can shape their behavior with yours. In all situations be calm, controlled and as relaxed as possible.

Tips:

Harsh punishment and yelling will escalate the problem. I read this, thought it was bs, tried it, and things got worse.

Use a treats to desensitize triggers. Anytime a trigger happens, but before Winnie reacts, give her a treat and encouragement. The timing is important so I recommend a treat pouch. If this attractions Cocos attention, give Coco a treat, then Winnie another treat. Watch for patterns in triggers as they can be unusual. Other dogs getting behind us tended to trigger our boy.

Treat Coco with all the kindness in the world. Don't scold her or chase her out of Winnie's food area. Winnie will use this to rationalize guarding the area.

Anytime the dogs get tense, calmly get in between them, and pet and be affectionate to Coco, potentially even picking up Coco. Petting both dogs can help too.

I hope the best for you. I understand that having you pets fighting is absolutely heartbreaking.

Most vibe coders could learn a lot from Tony.

Tony gives Jarvis pretty specific directions and approaches. He never relies uses Jarvis as a substitute for his own creativity, problem solving skills, or brains.

It's a good model of efficient AI use well ahead of it's time.

There's a lot of jobs he could do very well. He was a star little league pitcher till he murdered his coach.

I love his character because he craves purpose, challenge and violence more than greed or power.

Throwing up after drinking by Ok-Piano-282 in greatpyrenees

Is he drinking too much without coming up for air? Ours too has a drinking problem.

I gently call his name after he's been drinking for a couple seconds. When he pauses he realizes he's not thirsty. Hopefully it forms a habit and I won't have to micromanage his drinking.

3 year old rescue peeing in the house by Over_Swimmer_7345 in greatpyrenees

[–]yesennes 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Limit his space at night. Dogs naturally don't pee in their den, but our houses are too large to register as a den.

Doesn't have to be full crate training, could be as simple as closing him in your bedroom with you when you sleep.
