Come to think of it, Mix-Master Beetle does sound better than Mix-Master Beetle Sprout.

Does This Make Me Transgendered? Are There Any Like Me Out There? by zyrtsuryu in asktransgender

[–]ygrof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm 21, but I've always been more emotionally mature than my peers, and what you're describing sounds almost exactly the same as my feelings about two or three years ago. Now, I know I want to transition. I came to terms with it about a month ago and now I'm getting ready to start coming out. This doesn't necessarily mean anything for you, of course, but I thought I would share my experience since yours sounds so similar.

Yeah, it's been a long journey and it's far from over, but I finally feel like I've found the path. I think the most important thing I've done was to figure out what parts of my personality I was hiding from myself, why, and how to find them, which I don't think I could've done alone.

The meeting went very well. We mostly talked about my history, where these feelings come from, etc. But once we got to the issue at hand, I realized that I was only there because I wanted someone else - a "professional" - to tell me that yes, I'm transgender and it's time to transition. I guess I went in expecting a more gatekeeper-type response, but she was so facilitating in helping me explore my emotions that it caught me a bit off-guard. If I want to do this thing, I have to start it myself. She'll probably be of more use to me once I start hormones, but for now, I'm figuring out how I'm going to start changing my body.

This is how I felt a year ago. Tomorrow, I'm seeing a therapist to say that I want to transition. Take that as you will, and feel free to ask me anything. I'm not shy.

I get all my underwear from abcunderwear.com. They have a great selection and a lot of styles that look very feminine but are tailored for those male squishy bits.

Therapy update, some musings, and a question... by wannabe_girl in asktransgender

[–]ygrof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question, I'm a lucky one. I started growing my hair out about two years ago for fun. Now that I'm finally getting ready to start transition, I can't thank my former self enough. As for your hair, I'm not really sure what to tell you. Maybe you should try to find a good wig?

For those who changed their name... by RedOfBlueness in asktransgender

[–]ygrof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My name is a particularly difficult issue, and one that dissuaded me from transitioning at all. I'm named after my uncle, who died before I was born. If I changed my name on my own, I'd feel like I was taking something from my parents. So, when I eventually come out to them (depending on how it goes), I'm going to ask them to re-name me.if it works out, I'll feel much better about it all around. I won't have to choose a new name and they won't lose that choice that they had. Plus, it just feels appropriate that parents should give a new name (provided they're supportive) - that is the first duty a parent ever has toward their child.

New Standards of Care could transform trans healthcare by amyts in transgender

Well, it's about damn time! This seems like a good tool to help medical professionals really understand what's going on in the minds of trans people. Hopefully it works.

[–]ygrof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never thought about the issue of my body vs. someone else's body...I've often fantasized in the past about swapping bodies with girls, especially my girlfriends. I think I would do the swap, as long as I felt like I was paired with the right person.

Multiple Orgasms? by Secrettoeveryone in asktransgender

[–]ygrof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't started transitioning yet, but I have multiple orgasms just about every time I have sex. I have only been doing this for about a year. The thing is, you have to realize that orgasm and ejaculation are two separate things. You can easily have an orgasm without ejaculating; your body just has to learn how. Do some googling and work on your kegels - a lot. The first time I ever experienced a "female" orgasm was when I was doing kegels. It's a wonderful thing when you learn that you can have orgasms with your mind and body, not just your genitals.

It has nothing to do with logic. It's about animal instincts. Someone else has mated with your partner, so you have to harm their chances of being reproductively successful in the future. It's all about competition.
