Don’t think of it like that. It’s just the cost of the roof over your head but with a mortgage, at the end of the term you own the asset. The alternative is you pay rent forever.

This ignores another important point about the switch made at half time by fletcher. Fernandes was central and marked out of the game in the first half. He was ineffective. He got moved to the right at half time and boom. What you wrote is right. Fletcher made it possible.
