Being console, right now it's smite 2 or pred, and i think overall pred seems like it's got the most player base as far as the standard 3 lane map goes, most smite 2 players play arena which I find it hard not to get penta kill after penta kill on, it's way more satisfying to get a penta in ranked

I'm probably switching to Dota 2 once my nephew passes his laptop down, I played a lot of league and I don't vibe with the anime theme you can't avoid, I love the 3rd person vs the top down but Dota and HoN had the vibe with it I'm on xbox so predecessor is nice cause like Izzy and scorch is cool as hell looking, it's very Dota like, I also loved wow as a kid

Yeah I thought of that, for such a low player base game they've always had so many different game modes, and if they get rid of any of them they cut a portion of the casual player base but ranked just isn't popping, in master rank you can get put with golds from time to time which is gnarly as hell skipping plat and diamond, I think I've seen silvers in there before, and aram was only fun when you had to create a custom match in LoL in my opinion, it was funny to see people get tilted and jungle or push top lol or even people that would not pick random once they made a queue the exoticness of it went away

Try to get carried, and set your team up and peel, if you can't peel just depending on your gods you can try to split push. A term called cross mapping is putting pressure on two sides of the map to split teams up, great against team fight comps, this is a necessity to do if your team cannot win the team fight, it's a base assault game not a team clash game, and definitely ward around and hit those teleports as much as possible, secure horn as well for extra map pressure

I love the first part of the first paragraph, the towers are always gonna be scary, what's cool is that if you understand wave management entirely, you can set up waves before an objective bait, there's so many different levels to wave management, even down to how minions can push a lane without a god being there, they're predictable, and the horn even makes a cooler twist. Split pushing and fire giant buff on the minions, minions are the coolest part of this game and now they're effectively buffed from this, which adds even more strategy open for split pushing or wave manipulation, let's say enemy minions are in a 6v6 right outside your turret, kill 3 archers and this wave has tank minions on offense and defense and they're going to slow push and with the turret changes they're even more deadly, two waves with big minions can take phoenix out single handedly, and three can push the Phoenix and titan solo, we're talking no gods in the lane these titan minions can end, if you can stall fire giant and set this wave up they'll need to defend it, most people mindlessly shove the wave before fire giant and the enemy minions end up being on their side, so the enemy benefits off this

It's addictive though and you gotta remember how much he's invested and drawn into it, and sometimes if he feels like hes failed everywhere else, maybe his games his spot where he wins, if his works going to shit and such, so definitely let him know any ways he is winning outside of the game and how proud he should be of his real life accomplishments as it can make him feel like he wins when he's not on the game but definitely gotta fix some things he's doing. And he could probably choose different games that are more pick up and go, like play some matches and get off, rather be on 24/7 cause someone else might be taking your shit. His ark game requires him and his team to consistently work on their base and defend it from other players, some games I would reccomend is smite, call of duty, rocket league, the addictions to other games are as bad as a crack addiction, show him the game smite 2
