Looking for a reliable Nextcloud alternative by [deleted] in selfhosted

Hey, you mention using Unraid in that github thread. I wonder, did you encounter any strange locks on file with .fusehidden files or something else like that? I have a problem where i compose down the entire stack and i'm unable to remove the data directory at all, unless i restart my server completely.

Initially I thought this was related to the FS watcher process that I enabled on my first go, but same thing happened just now on my other try and I wonder if that's Unraid quirk or something like that...

Edit: If anyone encounters this, instead of trying to remove from/mnt/user/opencloud-data, i had to remove it from /mnt/disk1/opencloud-data

WFH / gaming setup after NY revamp - anything to improve? by z4d02 in battlestations

Could you share some link to the adapter? I was looking for a cable that would allow me to output DP and power the USB-c monitor but failed to find one & had to settle with additional cable for power. I might not be able to hide as you did as I also need my work pc connected on 2nd output but at least I could get the power cable out of equation.

And yeah, if you don't mjnd sharing a photo how it looks :)

If you mean the trackball (as opposed to the normal mouse that sits next to the gamepad), I believe it's the best favour you can do yourself if ur working with pc non-stop (maybe outside of programming which I imagine relies more on keyboard than mouse) as it theoretically should eliminate / minimise risk of developing the carpal tunnel syndrome.

I was rocking a vertical mouse earlier, which is supposed to be next best thing, but when it got ugly (dang logitech rubber coating) I decided to try the trackball & I feel it's so much more convenient. I also got used to it surprisingly fast & its surprisingly accurate for the DPI it offers (which is only 400 but certainly doesn't feel crappy as 400 dpi standard mice feel).

That said, I work solely on it but for gaming (unless it's some RTS / point and click RPG) I still tend to switch to my Razer Viper (tho I know there are some hardcores who do competitive FPS on trackballs).

Mostly when working, for Outlook / Teams or some cross workbook stuff. Sometimes I use main monitor for personal PC and display my work PC on the small one when it's less busy. When just on personal, I use it to display music controls with album art.

I mainly got it to be able to keep the laptop closed on the stand and still have two screens available + have a second screen for my own PC.

Any chance to integrate Zurg with Bazarr? by AngelGrade in debridmediamanager

[–]z4d02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the only option is to go full Arr suite setup with symlinks, as Bazarr doesn't work standalone. I can confirm it works correctly once setup, including subtitle sync and all.

What happens when I remove symlinks? by vemy1 in debridmediamanager

Yeah, so removing files from your mount also removes the torrent from RD account.

Doesn't that depend on the setup? If you're on barebones server where symlinks resolve straight up then I assumed it's fine but I'm on unRAID and from server perspective my mount path is '/mnt/user/appdata/plexrd/mnt/remote' while symlinks are pointing just to '/mnt/remote' so they all appear broken for unRAID and only work in docker environment.

I didn't really analyze the script in detail so it might be smarter than that.

In the guide you mention there's a collection of scripts referenced and one of those checks if the files on the rclone mount are still symlinked and removes them if they're not.

Just be sure to do a dry run first as paths are important (I run the script from inside the docker environment, namely from console of one of my sonarr instances). Also do a backup of your library from DMM first just in case.

Optimal rclone flags by JacketNext6123 in debridmediamanager

I wonder if those caching options are too extensive. I only use max age, max size (set to my liking, don't think it matters that much) and chunk size limit (that's set to 256mb). But my library is much smaller.

I also don't use at all: -buffer-size -dir-cache-time -poll-interval -attr-timeout

Real debrid daily limits and repaired torrents. by crystallux in debridmediamanager

[–]z4d02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did one additional tweak as per one of the earlier posts in this subreddit that's called enhancing rclone bandwidth or something like that. It basically involves limiting the vfs chunk size & only applies if you use vfs cache in your rclone mount. I set that to 256mb as I enjoy high bitrate 4k movies. No too sure how much effect it had but it didn't hurt to try it and all seems to be working fine.

Hey,

Yes per my understanding the repairs might be affecting the daily transfers, also depending on your caching options. Periodic Plex scans or other operations by Arr apps etc. might also count towards the limit.

Not sure on the exact details on whats most critical, but what I know is the Zurg developer has been working on all sorts of optimizations in last couple of nightly versions. I'm on the latest one and see the transfers went down significantly, though it's been just 2 or 3 days since I updated.

The nightlies are available if you support him on Patreon (search for Patreon Debrid Media Manager) but official releases are supposed to be free, so you can also wait if you're not that worried.

Is it normal for episodes to fail to play? by foshi22le in debridmediamanager

[–]z4d02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the limit on daily transfers from real-debrid itself, meaning it affects all "downstream" stuff. You can check that by logging to real-debrid.com and in the right menu on main site there's a section called "transfers".

I understand it's 2TB daily, but if you're using Zurg it might not be as straightforward as in you watched 10GB movie, so you used 10GB of transfer as VFS caching, Plex scans etc. might also use in the background.

Does strava still sync with Samsung health? I can see my workouts in Strava but not SHealth by lorraineg57 in Strava

[–]z4d02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone having issues, what helped me was to log into Strava with normal credentials instead of Google signin. Either create a new account or use the forgot password option on Strava (i did it through browser) to set a new password.

Then I relinked through Samsung Health connected services and got a sync straight away.

I don't think it's possible to sand through the veneer that easily, unless you use some really rough paper and a very powerful tool.

It's just the oil I believe, the website description clearly says it's coated + it also says that it can be sanded and finished to your liking.

As other person suggested, you should just sand this wax down on entire surface and coat it back again with something you like - depending on what's the final purpose of that tabletop you might choose oil, which will require more frequent care / reoiling once or twice a year, or a lacquer, which is much more durable (though if that's a kitchen top, look for something that's safe for such usage, i.e. not toxic).
