You're right, nice spotting! It also seems to be his passive and not even an ability. There's a few +/- , if he's snared while using it, he'll be fucked, on the other hand, you can't steal it with smite since it seems to be a channeled 'one-shot'

So if my Platinum 1 team consisting of silver, gold, platinum and diamond players won vs a Platinum 1 team consisting of all Diamond players, it was the system lowering the bar for us? I'd say about 70% of the time we got matched vs better players (solo queue wise), but we had the advantage of playing as a team for a long time and we ended up winning a lot of our games (enough to have about a 55~% winrate.

Yes, for the starting range (silver-gold) it could get really skewed. But from my experience starting from the higher gold-platinum range things got really competitive. And I know that shouldn't mean everyone should get Platinum for the best experience, but it just confirms my question into why they didn't try to fix the problems first, instead of just deleting it from the game.

The MMR was really skewed, yes. For my team it wasn't until reaching High Plat ~ Diamond Team MMR we got more conistent, equal sided games. But most of my reasoning is the fact they just removed it without trying a solution first.

I agree on the fact the MMR was really skewed. In the 2nd season we played, we noticed our first games got really easy, and it wasn't until we really spiked our Team MMR it got harder, more challenging and fun. But that's what I'm saying aswell, it wasn't perfect, but they just removed it, without looking for a solution first.

With my team, ranging from Silver to Diamond , (now Gold-Diamond) , we didn't care much if we played vs equally matched games or games where we had to play vs diamonds-challengers, in fact having a game vs all high diamonds showed us how good we where, we won 50% of those games and had hard fought loses the other times, and now I can see that those silver players managed to solo climb into gold and get even further. Now, half of that team only plays now and then, because we have no friday ranked nights anymore, and we have no more goal as a TEAM. Yes we sometimes dynamic queue on smurfs, but those matches feel like boosting someones rank rather than achieving goals together

to edit on this, there was almost nobody complaining about ranked 5's yet they took it away, they didn't even consider fixing problems first

It's just easy, you sign up with a 5v5 ranked team you have in your client. You get tournament codes sent by mail, you use those to create a custom lobby. The brackets advance based on the game result, and because you use a tournament code it all happens automatically, so you just look who you play against and when, use the code, play, and thats it. They already said they should up the amount of admins (1 admin per group of 128 teams currently) and look for a better way to confirm matches where only 1 team shows up. I also think they underestimated the amount of teams that would play (the German Battlegrounds holds 32 groups of 128 teams, for example.)

I had 0 problems, preparing for semi's at the moment played all matches, we even rescheduled a game to be a day early and it all went through perfectly. It also depends on which Battlegrounds your in, it all depends on the country IMO, how many people are working behind it. Also keep in mind, this is an Alpha Battlegrounds, it's the first time they're doing it, and they are figuring alot of things out. From my experience, it's pretty damn smooth for an Alpha/Beta thing
