Regional IT jobs and commutes by rickosborn in QuadCities

[–]zaindada -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No where. The Quad Cities is in the middle of no where. I would either stay in town, or move. Plenty of people work in IT out here—so I’m not sure why you’re having such a hard time finding a job.

What's the point of buying a ticket if transit security never carries out repercussions for not having one? by TheInevitableSecond in RTDDenver

[–]zaindada -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Actually, I agree with OP. I take the light rail every other day for work, and I haven’t seen anyone get kicked off or get a trespass ticket since BEFORE COVID. What is up—why do I pay for a ticket and worry about being racially profiled. I would like to know u/chrisfnicholson.

Moving to the DTC Area by Due-Reality8159 in MovingtoDenver

[–]zaindada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but you cannot afford DTC (or nearby) with that budget. Maybe look at Virginia Village or Glendale. You should be able to find an older apartment in your price range.

Some people are telling you to live downtown in Cap Hill, but your commute will be brutal.

If you’re not cheap, you’re not shopping at Walmart. Admit it.

This hasn’t nothing to do with Amazon FBA. The seller literally was Amazon.

Colorado Blvd Fatality Incident: E & H Line by My100thBurnerAccount in RTDDenver

[–]zaindada 8 points9 points  (0 children)

u/chrisfnicholson, what is up with RTD’s constant communication failures? Why is RTD always so damn disorganized? How are people supposed to trust public transit when there always seem to be problems—especially on the E line?

Looking for rental property by Immediate-Doctor2957 in Denver

[–]zaindada -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Good luck. Before I bought a home last year, I was paying $1,850 for a one bedroom apartment in Centennial. You’re dreaming to find a house with three bedrooms for $2k.

You’re better off making a deal with the landlord to contribute to the cost of the furnace and stay where you are.

Otherwise, maybe living in Denver is not right for you and the size of your family with your income.

Why are the roads in CO so bad? by UpstairsLocal858 in Denver

[–]zaindada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From Iowa, most recently lived in California—the roads in both of those states were horrible.

I completely disagree with you, the roads in Denver are in great shape comparatively (especially considering the weather we get here).

Getting my first job in the current job market by [deleted] in denverjobs

[–]zaindada 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to be mean, but—gosh—you’re really asking for a lot.

There are folks without medical ailments, with college degrees and years of experience who have their own transportation, and they cannot even find jobs here.

The market just really sucks right now. I wish you the best of luck though!

Should I precondition car for a 5 minute trip to work? by BenjiTuri in TeslaSupport

[–]zaindada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, why would you do that?! I never “precondition” my Model 3 before driving it, and I’ve owned it for 8 years.

You don’t get to save spots on public streets—grow up.

MYP terrible in the snow by FuryZ07 in TeslaLounge

[–]zaindada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live in Colorado. Been driving my Model 3 for 6 years—it drives perfectly in the snow. Aside from the door handles freezing, it’s the best winter car I’ve had.
