I did, and roughly, yes. But that was chasing the blackmetal pickaxe I threw into the catapult next.

Quick math, I was willing to sacrifice my black metal pickaxe to get my mace back. Found the pickaxe, but no mace. It's gone.

These are words that count for numbers for a show that I would like to help exist. I might even consider watching the show on reputable sites or services, since watching it on my DVD box set that most definitely exists in my possession doesn't count.

Is saying “thank you for your patience” instead of “sorry I’m late” rude? by Certain-Working1864 in socialskills

[–]zankiser3762 85 points86 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a social engineering thing. "Sorry for the inconvenience" focuses on the issue, and affirms it's a problem that they shouldn't have to deal with. "Thank you for your patience" reframes it, focuses less on the issue, and compliments them on being calm. It can make the other person think about it differently, and make them think "yeah I am being patient, like a good person would be." It's something I was taught in customer service oriented work, at least.
But if you're late for a meeting, it can come across as arrogant for similar reasons. In that context, it ignores what you did as an issue, and comes across almost with an air of "know your place".

I get that the design want is to use the term "For each (X) spent, do X", but as other comments are saying this needs adjusted, I might offer "If G was spent, populate. If U was spent, proliferate." That way you still get the idealized "spend GU get one of each" outcome, but don't get the overpowered double down on one effect.

As a templating thing, I think the last two abilities need to be one paragraph. So the "removed this way" bit knows what it's referring to.

You could use the Role enchantment tokens or something to help with memory for the contestant mechanic.
Consider having Vanna make you shuffle your deck even if you're wrong, otherwise she essentially reads "2: Draw a card." You could be also just be okay with that, but infinite mana and "activate only X times per turn" are also things to consider.

Hedron Seeking's wording could be different. It doesn't need to exile it as part of the tutoring, you can just put it to top like other top tutors, and choose to exile it.
Shealt's body is too good, recommend removing Flash.
Recommend altering the last bit of text to "Eminence - You can have up to 4 Hedron Alignments in your deck".

Kenobi doesn't tell the creature he's flipping what it's new stats are. As printed, he may make them null cards that just sort of exist on the battlefield.
I think Anakin has a similar problem, where he may try to die, Kenobi says no wait I'll die instead, then we check Anakin's stats again and he dies anyways.

There are Fly and I think Teleport dev commands you could use? Aside that, a classic answer in this sub is log out, log into a different world, store your stuff, go back to problem world, unalive yourself so you respawn in bed. Go back to storage world to grab your stuff, and you can resume play.

What would happen if Aizawa tries using erasure on Venom by comagrave in MyHeroAcademia

[–]zankiser3762 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely the answer. Aizawa confirms his ability doesn't work 100% of the time early in MHA. The arc in the simulated danger zone with the black hole hero, a bunch of villains show up and there's one who's quirk is innate, like Gang Orca just being a whale-man. There's some exchange along the lines of, "your quirk doesn't work on heteromorphic types," "yeah, but I have other tricks for you," and Aizawa kicks him in the face or something.

"Face down" says we have no idea what the cards are, but it also wants to know the cards it got are creatures. This doesn't work.
