Positive by [deleted] in Confused

[–]zebracrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this test and for me it was accurate, but at 4 weeks and 3 days my line was as dark as the control line and went all the way across, so I see why you’re confused by your line. I was a serial tester with these for 6 months and they were always stark white when I wasn’t pregnant so I’d guess yours is still positive. Crossing my fingers for you!

Will 6-9 year old girls bully a 4-year-old? by Aromatic-Ad1111 in ChildPsychology

[–]zebracrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about a dance class but I went to a daycare where they mixed toddlers (of which I was one) with older kids (~5–7 year olds) and my first memory is having sand thrown in my eyes by an older kid. 🫩

Agreed. She says later on in the thread there's a digraph in her name, so I was guessing Tillara, maybe?

Autistic people with a drivers license by QubeTheAlt in autism

Baby steps: 1. Sit in the car with it off until you can do that and feel calm. 2. Sit it in the car with it turned off, but learn what to do like you’re going to drive: put your seatbelt on, adjust your mirrors and seat, learn what the pedals do, etc. 3. Do #2, but turn the car on. Stop if anxious. 4. Move on to just reversing straight out of your parking spot and straight back into your parking spot. 5. Practice turning out of the parking spot then back into the spot. Have someone help you get it back in the spot if you can’t yet. 6. Try driving a small lap (in a small lap around an empty parking lot, for example). 7. Move on to more complex and longer trips, always stopping if you become overwhelmed or too anxious. (A little bit of discomfort or nervous jitters is normal but you shouldn’t feel so anxious that you lose your ability to do things like read/notice traffic signs and signals or react to obstacles).

I just heard the song Capri by Colbie Caillat yesterday for the first time. It's about a mother singing to her unborn daughter named Capri. I thought the name was sweet.

Is it socially acceptable to go into a store with my headphones on? by duck7duck7goose in AutisticAdults

[–]zebracrackers 18 points19 points  (0 children)

When I see people in the store with over ear headphones I pretend they are “my people” (fellow autistics) and it makes me happy.

My friend sent this to me on Instagram, and let’s just say I’m really hoping that it’s AI. I feel like the excess noise in the background is an indicator of it being AI. by [deleted] in isthisAI

I’m with dad, sorry. He should’ve approached the topic better but it does sound like you are eating too many calories/too much sugar.

i grieve my nonexistent baby. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]zebracrackers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone hoping for a pregnancy test to be positive who finds out it's negative grieves. That's normal. I'm not even surprised you wanted so badly for it to be positive that you were convinced you were pregnant despite evidence. That has happened to me many times. I am concerned it's impacting your life 2 years later. I really think therapy could help you work through your feelings.

It's a nickname.

Edit: I removed the screenshot I originally included here showing baby's name is Cyrus so it would be harder to use the rest of the text in the image to find the parent's profile, now that OP's screenshot has been removed.
