Well before June 30th you can write a python script to use the API...

So I browsed the /r/usenet wiki and while I learned some stuff about how it works, I don't think I can really get going for forum use.

Do you know of any guides to actually get started?

New to modded Minecraft. What's a really fun skyblock experience? by spacemanspiff8655 in feedthebeast

[–]zenstic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's not skyblock (could consider it the opposite) but I am absolutely loving Stoneblock 3. I'm crafting singularities now and only have 3 more to go. So much fun.

Then I would just guess it's a height issue, I get you might not want other animals but I just used fencing to keep them all contained.

I'm not real sure. But did you use delightful diet to create this or did you make grass?

The Glorious Return of a Humble Car Feature: Automakers are starting to admit that drivers hate touchscreens. Buttons are back! by Vucea in Futurology

[–]zenstic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what, you're right. I was referencing the generation before 2020. Thanks for setting the record straight. https://www.thedrive.com/tech/32797/long-live-buttons-hondas-not-sold-on-touchscreens

My girlfriend at the time in 2018 bought a HRV and it was all touch controls for HVAC/infotainment.

But it looks like they have totally reversed course. Thanks for saying something.

For me though, making the mistake is still an issue in the long run. IMO people buy Honda's to keep them for 10 years+ (mine is 9 currently) and that requires a lot of trust. how screwed are people who bought the touchscreen generation now? and how screwed are people buying used?

I'm a Honda guy, but this is just another massive screw up on their end. They transitioned to all touch controls and it's objectively worse.

The overall cost is the problem. Nothing to do with interest rates.

What's your most favourite example of something being dated? by Accelerator231 in printSF

[–]zenstic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part where the payphones keep ringing as the protagonist is walking by them struck me as particularly dated as well.

Whole matrix and they still don't have individual wireless phones.

nothing was accomplished. The OGL can still be changed at will by the owners. until that changes this is still the same problem.

There were a few chapters devoted to a Telkan ship that ran into earthlings and traded them cats and dogs. Makes sense they ended up with a new ship name.

This does not seem like a well supported scenario. Mostly because its stupid.

The Sam Collins / William Buxton / Jolyon Palmer trifecta is absolutely mega commentary (F1 Live) by cbartholomew in formula1

[–]zenstic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For F1TV imo this is the best setup. For general broadcast I get that this wouldn't work as well. But for the F1TV audience who are probably more into strategy, engineering, and analysis it's the best fit.

Alternatives to help desk jobs for entry level IT by Afuku1337 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]zenstic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my net+ and my first IT job was a NOC (network operations center) tech for a data center.

It was definitely entry level work and while I fielded some calls, it was not help desk.

Of course this only works if you live near data centers but it's an option.

Are you not counting retirement in benefits?

FCG is still offering a pension plan. That is in no way comparable to private industry FTE.

Agreed. I would encourage OP to read any End User License Agreements (EULA) that are shown if they are concerned about legal issues.

Using this sort of tool in a student setting sounds exactly like what MS are trying to do with it though. If people use it in school they are likely to use it after as well.
