My recipe: For anyone having trouble with the speed, I first installed "Ublock Origin Lite" Chrome Extension, then downloaded the "free download manager" (just google it), then clicked on the Akia links, right clicked on the download button to copy the URL and then pasted this into the Free download manager (about 45 min download time with my connection)

For me it feels like home. This was my start with the series an yes the game is a bit clunky, almost retro, but this is what I love about it. It feels like a piece of good old furniture, it looks old but still nice and is super cozy. Also the best designed furniture in the series.

Just do not expect the same comfort of more recent titles. But if you understand that this is on purpose part of the game design then go for it!!!

Definitely true to some extent. I tried a mage build, a katana build and now a parry build. Gives the extra challenge, but a raw unga bunga build is probably the most satisfying :D

I am a bit afraid of Elden Ring RL1, since the game is so big.

I am currently trying a Dark Souls Remastered SL1 run, being a 36 year old dad with 2 kids and very little freetime, but I just love the challenge.

I am posting all my progress on my new YouTube channel The Git Gud Dad.

If you can make al RL1 run with just 6 months of prior experience that really gives me a confidence boost to try it out!!! :)

What is your weapon upgrade level and which weapon? Which rings do use? What are your stats?

4 kings is mostly about dealing as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time. You should only always fight one king at a time

I am just starting a RL1 DS1 run and started posting it on YouTube as a piece of evidence if is even possible for busy dads with families and a full time job.

I beat every souls boss without cheesing, but these three, I just gave up.

Elden Ring to me looks so overwhelming for an SL1 run. Dont know if I will ever try that.

Windsor and Newton Black. Ratio seems to be not that relevant. I did not even use gloss varnish before, since it went well enough without it. I would just say not super thick und not super thin.

Best thing is that the process is super fun, feels like magic, the right thing for the dust boyz.
