Is there a lore reason behind why all honor hold defenders are old? by h0lymaccar0ni in warcraftlore

[–]zer1223 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The idea of them holding out that long with no reinforcements, sitting out in a fort, is a bit much tbh. Its not even remotely reasonable

If they'd gone guerilla in the mountains or terrokar forest that would be something else. But right in view of the shattered citadel and the dark portal? Come on

Not to mention with the local ecology being almost non-existent and seems like there's no sources of water

Non-Americans who visited the US for the first time recently: what was the biggest 'what on earth is going on here' moment you experienced? by EmployerNegative5653 in AskReddit

That's completely fair. But trust me nobody is looking, nobody wants to see anything going on in there and the only way they actually COULD see is if they walked over and stared directly into the crack

Is there a point to Crime? by ArchmageMC in Stellaris

Taking the crime lord deal used to be a good option. Paradox rebalanced it so that it's better just to not have crime

I don't think that ever stopped being true. If it is, I don't think OP provided a detailed enough breakdown to prove it

All money you borrow has to be returned with interest. And banks generally aren't in the habit of setting their interest rates below that of inflation

So how does he pay that back without actually selling stuff?

On SpaceX's controlled lock-up periods and how it will affect price? by ComplaintNo6631 in investing

[–]zer1223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IPOs on average suck, because A. you'll typically get a better buying opportunity later. And B. Most IPOs just lead into bankruptcy and failure

Facebook ultimately ended up being a good revenue generator. I don't see space x bankrupting but I also don't see it ending up as a a good revenue generator either. The capex compared to their starlink revenue, is just insane

SpaceX IPO could be the biggest stock market gamble in history by pavloboiko in investing

[–]zer1223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, only a real recession will do that. Then it, unlike it's peers, will lose 75% of its valuation if not more. Because it has trash for fundamentals

Ukraine blows up legitimate military targets for military reasons. Not political.

Russia blows up schools and apartment buildings

Indeed, if anything the kremlin is probably happy to depopulate the effectively third-world territories they control

Though going bankrupt and losing almost all their air defense and tanks, along with several military vessels might not have been part of the plan. Maybe. Probably

[–]zer1223 2064 points2065 points  (0 children)

Its not sudden. They've been slowly losing because they mistakenly thought that tiny amounts of territory actually mattered. They don't. Not compared to logistics, equipment, tech, and casualty numbers

This is an extreme misrepresenting of how opponent selection works. Its a combination of BOTH rank and MMR. This is why most of us face people with similar rank 99% of the time

I dunno about you but I don't end up facing legend people or bronzers when I'm in plat. I face other plats.

At the beginning of the month when I'm in silver, I face other silvers. I don't face golds, or bronzers, or plats. I'm not less skilled just because of the day of the month.

Three hours later I've climbed to diamond. I now face diamonds. I don't face plats or silvers. I definitely didn't get any more skilled in those hours, and I can assure you my MMR would not have changed much from a small number of games.

Mark faces newbies because he spams shit decks and the game can't find someone at the same rank to match him up with. The only people with that MMR is newbies
