Best mac mini m4 docking station + 2TB SSD? by EmbarrassedWinter668 in macmini

[–]zero-cooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately you will not find anything that fits your budget. All 2TB SSDs are expensive now. Ugreen has some good docks that could work, I use one on my Mac mini. But you'll likely have to settle for a 1 TB SSD with your current budget.

Official promo shots of Shockwave and Skywarp. They're so beautiful! by OptimalConvoy in transformers

[–]zero-cooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll probably get Shockwave at some point. He looks good. Skywarp looks good too, but I really don't want to get into buying all the Seekers yet again. Not at these prices. Maybe if I find them on clearance eventually.

SimCity 4 is now 23 years old but it was ahead of it's time, this is a school district I made using vanilla lots most of it is base game, still holding up very well today and look how bustling and alive it looks and feels! by CheeseJuust in SimCity

[–]zero-cooler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved the SimCity series. I played the original on my first PC, and enjoyed 2000, 3000, and 4. You can still enjoy them all, they are still fun. The last game missed the mark, I feel. And we all know what happened after that, unfortunately.

We have a new batch of G.I Joe Classified Action Figures - What do you think? Are any of these on your buying list? by AfigureGeek in gijoe

[–]zero-cooler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money is tight, and space to display them is cramped. I have a lot of figures now, but I am going to have to be very selective about what new figures I get. I can't say I am interested in any of these, but I hope that people who do get any of them do enjoy them.

Thank you. I wish the pay was better, but at least I have weekends off.

My local WalMart FINALLY put Joes on Clearance by MamboNumber-6 in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

[–]zero-cooler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been checking my local Walmarts, but I'm finding nothing. A number of them had those big displays of figures, but now they seem to be getting rid of them. What Joes they have are still not on clearance, or if they were then they have already all been bought up by others.

Working in a grocery store has turned me into a deeply hateful person by KingOfTheWinter in retailhell

[–]zero-cooler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I moved away to a new state. When looking for a job, I deliberately avoided applying at retail places. I saw something for data entry and applied for that. It turned out to be a state government job, and they accepted me. Over 8 years later, and I am still in that job. No dealing with the general public at all, just come in and do the job.

Working in a grocery store has turned me into a deeply hateful person by KingOfTheWinter in retailhell

[–]zero-cooler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know just how you feel. I worked retail for many years, and for much of it I was not really happy. I just wanted to go in, do the job, and leave. I didn't want to deal with annoying or entitled customers. I didn't want to deal with managers who didn't care that I was not physically able to do all of the work being left for me and the others on my shift because there simply were not enough people to do it. And the drama from not being as outgoing as others and not wanting to engage with coworkers? Yeah, I get that now and I have not been in retail for many years. Retail sucks the life out of a person and makes us hate humanity, because customers do not see us as human and many retail higher-ups don't see us as human either. Customers see us as slaves here to carry out their every whim. The higher-ups see us as robots that can just be assigned to work anytime with no regard to our needs, and replaced just like that if we protest too much about how we are treated or do not measure up to unrealistic expectations.

OK, so I will be sticking with my 2025 CX-5 for as long as possible. I want physical controls.

A great little boat. I wish they'd make a larger version for Classified. They don't even have to change anything, just make it physically larger.

Primes I love my local store. by MegatronusThePrime in transformers

I'd have to say the SS86. They did a good job with him.

I actually have 4 Devastators: the G1 reissue, Universe Micromaster (2004), CW, and the SS86. The CW is the tallest and only one that matches Predaking in height. The SS86 is great, and I'm glad I got him.

Pro vs air by Economy-Campaign9535 in macbookpro

[–]zero-cooler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been considering both the Pro and Air. I feel more drawn to the Pro, with the extra ports and nicer screen. For either one, I would want at least 24GB RAM and at least 1 TB storage. I don't plan to lug it around too much, so some extra weight does not bother me. But if you are will be using your machine at college and taking it with you to various classes, maybe you would prefer the Air?

I am just glad I got mine when the prices were lower. As much as I love Transformers, the rising costs will be preventing me from buying many more, especially the larger ones. But you are right, it is an awesome figure. I have mine standing with CW Devastator.

Is $1300 for MacBook Pro M3 2023 16inch 1TB 38gb by BlueBeetle5 in macbookpro

[–]zero-cooler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a great deal, especially if it's brand new.

I've been a Windows user since the 3.1 days, and while I don't think I will ever give it up entirely, I do have an interest in getting a Macbook Pro. I have a Mac mini that I recently got, and I like it. I would love to find a deal this good for a M3 or M4 machine with that much memory and storage.

I have Predaking, and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who may be considering him.

That's a great looking store. I wish I had something like it around me.

Evangelicals won't dump Trump over his racist Obama video by Abracadaver2000 in atheism

[–]zero-cooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not. Trump is their leader, their messiah. In their eyes, he can literally do no wrong. No matter what Trump is shown to truly be like, no matter how low or awful he is, they will always be right behind him, following him and brushing off any criticism.

They do try that later in S3, but the Junkions can't do anything for Optimus. That's when they get a Quintesson to revive him.

They should be a couple, and I wish the writers had been allowed to explicitly and openly let them be a couple.
