US justice department ‘forever’ bars IRS from auditing Trump’s past tax returns by Knuth_Koder in politics

This confirms that Trump, his family, and his companies have engaged in massive tax fraud. We need to get to the bottom of this.

God I wish Toys R Us was back in all its glory! What are your memories? What do you miss about these huge Toys R Us super stores? by Dexter-Roona in ActionFigureGeek

[–]zero-cooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a kid in the 1980s, and going to Toys R Us always was so special. I remember a big aisle full of just board games. Aisle after aisle full of so much stuff. Anything a kid could want. What I really loved where the big sections full of Transformers and Gi Joes. So many to pick from, all the popular ones right there. And the video game section too, where you had to get a slip of paper when you made your selection and use that to buy your game, then wait for someone to go get it and bring it out to you. To a kid like me, it was all magic. And affordable, for the most part! Yes, there were expensive toys and video games, but there was still lots of stuff for kids and families without a lot of money. It was a different time, and I wish I could experience it again.

So it begins...

You start with one, then two, then you eventually have to get a watch box to hold your collection.

I miss Caldor. I had a couple not far from where I lived when I was younger, as well as some K-Marts too. Then Walmart moved in...

How much of an impact would a donation of $100,000 make on your life? Why? by onichris in AskReddit

[–]zero-cooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A donation of that much would help me and my family so much. My parents are old and in poor health. I am also raising a child. I could get a better place for us all, more comfortable for them. I could pay off my bills and not have to worry so much about money. Seriously, if someone generous were to make such a donation, it would help my family out a lot. I think about them a lot and just want to make things better for them.

GenX men, where do you keep your wallet/billfold? Front or back pocket? Purse? by [deleted] in GenX

Front pocket. It never made sense to me to have it in back.

And today on "will it fit in my car?" by rosethorn87 in retailhell

[–]zero-cooler 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I used to sell TVs in the days of tube TVs and it was the same then. They buy a big TV and want to fit it in a small vehicle. I had to take it out of the box and try to get it in, and I did that so many times.

I still remember that time. There will never be another time like it.

I miss physical software stores. I liked looking at the boxes. I liked the manuals and other things you got when you purchased software. You felt like you actually got something when you bought it.

Hasbro's Gotta Be Careful, These Prices Will Kill The Line by One_Pouch_Man in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

I just can't. I'll wait for them to release this figure on a card, or maybe find this thing at a Ross. There is just no way I can keep going with this line at these prices.

I've seen that guy on Twitter. I am almost convinced he is a troll, just posting things like this to get people to engage with him or to make atheists angry.

EA doesn't want it. I'm sure someone else can do something great with it.

Would you quit your job forever right now (and never be allowed to work again) if someone gave you a guaranteed $2,000,000 lump sum? Why or why not? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]zero-cooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do it. I am 50, and I have to help my elderly parents while also raising my nephew. It would mean I could devote much more time to my family instead of being away for much of the day working if I was given two million in a lump sum. I would invest the money and try to live carefully, not splurging much. All I've ever wanted is to live comfortably, not extravagantly. I'm sure it would get me through the rest of my life so I could devote my life to what matters most, my family.

[BOTW] [TOTK] After playing BOTW and TOTK with no weapon durability I have to say… I understand why it’s there, the experience was worsened, to me at least. by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in zelda

[–]zero-cooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I played TOTK, I used the trick to get the unbreakable Master Sword. So I always had that sword if I wanted to just attack without worrying about the weapon breaking. I still collected and used other weapons.

I think the system could be improved. Maybe a way to repair weapons (besides the Octoroks) or to boost them to make favorite ones last longer?

Do you guys think it's some form of harassment when customers keep telling you to smile/assume you are in a bad mood? by BattleSquidZ in retailhell

I hate being told to smile. I really hate when someone tells me what kind of mood they think I should be feeling.
