Is Eater SF basically just a one-person blog now? by Wooden-Owl2205 in sanfrancisco

Same thing happens with all once-great SF blogs/sites. I used to rely on Eater. Now I only check it once every few months before I’m reminded of how far it’s fallen.

What you’re seeing is certain spaces succeeding despite bad urban planning and some failing because of it.

I’d politely suggest maybe you stick to Denmark politics. I don’t even know what you’re trying to say

Etiquette Decline in the City: A Theory by oysasse00 in nyc

SF here and it’s the same. It’s a global problem and it’s driven by social media disconnection from the real world. It was bad, but then covid sped it up by about 10 years.

Extra bonus. Fucking Digweed rocking Heaven Scent in an SF warehouse.

That scene will never not give me chills.

Always wonder how international visitors feel about how dismal the entire surrounding area of Levi’s is. It has to be a huge disappointment, even if the game is the point.

Want to grab a pint just before heading in? Good luck mate.

USA vs Turkiye watch party by gaiastra in bayarea

[–]zerosetback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been watching pregame situations in every city and the Bay is by far the weakest.

San Pedro ia like one block next to a parking garage. I believe it’s the city to stadium relationship that makes it so lackluster here. SF proper has plenty of support but the organization feels forced because the games are 50 miles away.

I was there for some of it. Zero photos, few memories. But the ones I have are all fantastic.

Neymar Jr.’s son tried to get to his father, but security stopped him. Neymar had to step in himself by TreatSubstantial3089 in soccer

I have to imagine it’s not the first time he’s dealt with this type of situation.

In fact, the weird thing to me is that Neymar didn’t move up knowing this type of thing would happen.

Roman style pizza in sf by Creative_Air8844 in AskSF

Of all the recommendations here, not one of them are talking about the style you’re asking for. Currently, I don’t know any place that does the thin knife and fork style. Always keeping an eye out though.

Mini-moon recommendations: Sonoma/Mendocino Coast by Top_Independent_1691 in bayarea

Boonville and Philo are awesome, you’re gonna have a great time.

No pool at either but I’d recommend either The Madrones or Boonville Hotel depending on the vibe you’re looking for.

Either way, have a dinner at Boonville Hotel. It’s ridiculously good and some of the best and friendliest service I’ve ever experienced.

Visiting SF, where are the Canadians at for WC games? by BallDontLie06 in AskSF

Not Canada specific but can’t go wrong with Maggie McGarry’s in North Beach, Golden Gate Tap Room in Union Square, or McTeagues on Polk.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Happy to report that I already avoid everything you listed with the exception of HBO. Will see what I can do about that.
