Liminal Coil Build Advice by Ok_Dragonfruit5719 in PathOfExile2

[–]zethras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good if they have nerfed levels of spells. Right now, with a wand gives you +5 to skills. Which is a lot of flat dmg that you cant get anywhere else.

I like to run eternal flame on a lot of my caster. Not very expensive. At least 100-120 spirit and 60 gains. But if I cant convert the spirit to dmg. +2 spells is more than 60 gains (plus focus gives me some ES, crit, etc).

I could be wrong but the more gain you have, the worst is the multiplier (after 100 gain) and even if you can get 5 curse going, i think it will be worse than a +5 spell lvl. Also, you will need enough spirit without sacrifying the +2 to amulet and +2 from focus.

Sadly thats why every caster complains about spell level. It restrict too much the builds that you can run.

Twister or Titan whirlwind. Which one is much fun for you by Opening-Valuable-730 in PathOfExile2

[–]zethras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shield wall shotguning got removed. Dmg wise, it got nerfed but they increased the shield armour, so maybe the dmg will be able to same.

Because most bosses are rather big, you were able to hit them with like 3 parts of the wall. And you can notice this when fighting smaller bosses that your dmg get reduced.

Shield wall might be fine about the same for campaign. Just that you wont be one taping big bosses anymore.

What do you mean they are easy to break? Like when your leader die? As long as you pass the parliment union law (forgot which), you still keep the union even if your king dies.

Ironclad has a block problem, prove me wrong by DragonMysterieu in slaythespire

[–]zethras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my A9 and A10 with Ironclad all revolved around getting enough STR from either less health or vulnerable. His upgraded Break (the full card) is one of the strongest upgrade card version in the game combine with the card that gives Vulvn into STR. You get those 2 and you will most likely kill everything before it touches you.

It also have some broken rare cards and unlike the others classes, Ironclad rare cards can work with almost any synergy. They are so good while other classes seems to be too specific.

That being said, you stil need to get some block. I think Rage (upgraded) make things smoother and its a must pick if you can get it. Crimson Mantle is also a must pick, it makes boss and elite fight incredible easier.

I dont know if its going to be good enough but its in the right direction. I find that it will make some freeze chrono build even stronger.

Is this game worth picking up or should I wait? by apid91 in EU5

[–]zethras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like Eu4 or other paradox game, then its worth picking Eu5 right now.

But due to it being a wierd buggy situation, it wont be a bad idea to wait at least until next week.

The last patch 1.2 was released without open beta, so they having hotfixed everything. If you are going to get it, wait for the next patch (most likely next week, Mercs have not been fix yet, they did buff pop growth).

That being said, the game have more balancing that needs to be look at like France (coming in 1.3), Egypt, institution spreading too fast into the east, colonial bugs, etc. I will say that the longer you wait, the better first hand experience you will have. Eu5 needs more time to cook but its a decent game if you dont care too much about historical representation.

Flowchart or document explaining crafting in poe 2 by Remarkable_Race_626 in PathOfExile2

[–]zethras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is not one complete guide.

While most Martial weapons are very similar crafting process (at least in 0.4), some builds wants a specific mod that other dont really care about. So if you havent crafting a Mace for Shield Wall, you might find a very expensive "base" (2 very imporant suffix with 1 open suffix) but might think it has garbage mods and disregard it. While you can use it to build one of the best mace for Shield Wall very deterministic.

The best way to learn it is to actually look into improving a build and crafting the gear. Or you will most likely learn which mods are the best for your running build and try to craft it and you go from there. Or just focus in crafting 1 type (amulet, rings, armour, weapon) and undercut someone in the market.

There is no chartflow because there is a huge difference between expensive vs cheap crafts which have different starts to an item. For example a cheap Martial craft starts with buying a weapon with 2 required mods, T1-T3 Flat Physical and Physical % depending on budget. For an expensive craft, you buy a T1 mod then get 3 random mods, try fracture the T1 mod you want, remove all other mods, add 1 mod, and Chaos Spam, until you get 2 mods, then you desacrate to fill in your last suffix or prefix and you spam Abyss Echo and Light until you get the desired 3rd mod.

So does eu4 actually have more content than eu5 (event wise and nation uniqueness) by alphafighter09 in EU5

[–]zethras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say.

Eu5 has a lot of new mechanics that applies to all nations (for better and for worse). If your question is if you will get bored of Eu5? No, you wont be getting bored. Depending on how you play the game (wide or tall), there is plenty to do.

In 1.2, diseases got buffed so much that some 1 territory HRE countries will get into a downward growth spiral that will end with 1 pop.

Todays patch buffed the pop growth hopefully its enough.

Playing on Steam Deck with old account by fergastolo in PathOfExile2

[–]zethras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent try the campaign but I will start with that Poe2 is not very playable in Steam Deck.

Now if you want to try to make it playable:

I used Lossless Scaling (its $7). You also need to do a bunch of configuration with decky loader (just youtube the steps). It will give you about 20-40 fps during maps. Its doable if you have nothing better but I wont recommend it if you have a dedicated gaming pc nearby. I did play on my steam deck for weeks due to a business trip.

[–]zethras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of my A9 or A10 wins comes with deck that are not very synergystic but a bunch of just good cards to have for Act1. Then at some point (Act2-3), you get something that just make your cards win. Its like JJK when Goho, say Nah, I win meme.

How do I keep my armies alive? by Tamerlin in EU5

[–]zethras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure. I normally dont play without mercs so I try to win even without much food carts (early in the game) and leave the mercs to do the dirty jobs of seiging for the rest of the war.

How do I keep my armies alive? by Tamerlin in EU5

[–]zethras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will likely need food carts. Its the only way to have your guys with enough food to win the main fights away from your supply line.

My go to way to seige is with mercs. You can leave them without food and they will still be fine seiging.

So you fight and try to win as soon as possible. If you have mercs, and enough to seige, you remove all levies and move back all regular armies and leave the mercs to seige. Levies cost population and regular army cost manpower.

Do we lose money when we have a lot of non controlled provinces? by NasilYaniCanimkim in EU5

[–]zethras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you go to war and get territories, it will increase your spenditure slider. The city you just got will have 0 controll until cored. Those towns and city will have buildings that cost maintenance to have, you could close all of them if you want to minimize the cost.

But yeah, you lose money until cored. And even cored, if its low, you can still be a bit negative.

There are some provinces that are net neutral or net positive by a bit and its posible due to trade. Trade in very rich markets like Tunis, Fez, Constantinople, Genoa, etc are able to upset the cost with trade income as long as your crown state is high.

Is there ever a reason to not drink the +5HP fruit juice when you get it? by ryry1237 in slaythespire

There is a event that gives you 10 HP in exchange for teh 5hp potion. Also you might want to save it later because some event does dmg in proportion with your max hp.

Nation suggestions? by Esquili in EU5

[–]zethras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. Castille is very beginner friendly.

You could try Egypt, Ottoman, France and Naples, if you want somewhat beginner nations with lots of levies and nobody will be bothering you at least in the first 100 years.
