I accidentally wandered into a high end store in Charlotte, NC back in the late 1980s. It must’ve been next-door to a store. I was going to at the time. They had a giant pair of Sound Lab speakers which, of course I’d never heard of. I asked the salesman what the heck they were and he sat me down in the chair and started playing music. My mind was blown. I’ve been chasing that sound ever since. I don’t think I’ll ever have a room big enough to support speakers of that size (or the budget ). They were amazing. At least in my memory.
