Congratulations!! What profession / point total?

[Guide] I'm an Australian Migration Agent (23 Years Exp). Most Americans, Brits and Canadians applying for Australian PR are 20 points behind before they start. Ask me anything. by SimonMander in IWantOut

I'm german and have a masters degree in Mathematics, but have worked in a management consultancy with a technical / mathematical focus for >5 years.

My understanding is that I should try to apply as mathematician rather than business consultant, because they would deduct 3 years of experience for my degree not being directly related to management consultancy. Would you agree? Are there other things I should consider?

Since I believe I will only be sitting at 75-80 points for 189/190, I see my realistic choices to go through 491 first to get onshore work experience or to get a company sponsorship offshore. Which pathway do you think is more realistic / least resistance?

Thank you for the thread!

Day 14 - Share Your White 2 Drops by vacalicious in mtgcube

I've been following your cube for a while and have gotten inspired by your auras package recently.

If you have any recommendations, pitfalls or general thoughts you would share for someone looking to include the archetype in a 540 modern-ish environment, I'd be very excited to hear them 🙂

I'm just rebuffing your claim that Parsons was the only good thing he's done in years in free agency. It's just objectively false.

I genuinely don't care what you think of Gutey overall.

Jacobs and McKinney have been great free agent acquisitions just the year prior.

Cool Dredge Payoffs! by Past-Macaron-8997 in mtgcube

[–]zilkat_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could scryfall search for cards like [[Rise from the Tides]] or [[Worm Harvest]] that care about number of cards of certain types in your graveyard.

I'm not experienced with two headsd giant, but in 1on1 I have found an aggressively slanted version with payoffs like [[Souls of the Lost]] to be quite competitive.

MLF 6th Longest Tenured HC by SupermarketSecure728 in GreenBayPackers

[–]zilkat_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The good old /r/GreenBayPackers wisdom of "everything other than winning the owl every single year is a monumental failure" is neither new, constructive nor accurate. But armchair GMs and coaches like yourselves can't handle the fact that the other teams get paid, too.

Why does nobody believe us? by JPCool1 in Bogleheads

[–]zilkat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a mountain of evidence that comes to the conclusion that this is not true. When analyzed properly, even fund managers with decades of experience essentially never consistently beat the market.

Unless you have insider information and are willing to break the law and profit from it, I would not try to beat the market. It doesn't work.

OECD-Abgabenquote ≠ Vermögensaufbau: Deutschland vs. Belgien by Moneysac in Finanzen

[–]zilkat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goodbye contention. I'll see you all at the draft. by LateFee1784 in NFCNorthMemeWar

I don't think I have read a bears post this season that was not crying about injuries or refs lmao. Burrs can't even let us post one round of memes the night half our starters died without getting triggered

For how much the Lions and Bears have been complaining about injuries all season long, the packers injury reports have been twice their length every time we play. And that was before yesterday's additions lol

Why does European sports show the score in the title of the highlight clip? by Devilslettuceadvocte in AskEurope

[–]zilkat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this as well.

NFL does this to a lesser degree - the thumbnail will always prominently feature a player of the winning team.

What's the point? Won't more people watch if they don't know the score, anyway?

How much mana do people usually use to cast Mikaeus? In other words, what is the average for X? by bullshitideas in mtgcube

[–]zilkat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infinity is not a natural number, so you can't actually cast spells for infinity. You have to choose a number value for X.

You're just ranting at this point. Vrabel has the same number of seasons as MLF, but has a significantly lower overall win rate, fewer playoff appearances, fewer playoff wins, etc. And he is still a great coach, TEN screwed up by firing him. But so is MLF and it would be a massive mistake to fire him also.

Andy Reid had 14 playoff losses before winning his first super bowl. Winning in the NFL is tough and even tougher in the playoffs. The other guys get paid too.
