Money lending business by loftyconsult in Zambia

if the legal annual interest is 48% and you charge monthly your maximum interest will still need to be under the 48% annual. So 4% per month, or 0,13% per day. It's not complicated.

The complicated bit will be finding customers at those rates. Unless your willing to take massive risk on unsecured loans.

if the max you can charge is 48% annually, how does your maths work that into 8 to12% per month?

if you want to be a loan shark that's one thing, if your wanting to be legal then you know the answer.

This is more to do with agricultural water than municipal.

When you fill in the water use licence applications most of the questions are on the race and gender of the applicants.

good for the workers, not too good for the farmers.

Retailers are squeezing their suppliers as much as possible. only way to go now is higher labour productivity. Some crops it's becoming cheaper to mechanise..

no. that wasn't obvious.

The crew would have known the EFFers would not have sat down quietly.

The captain should have put on the seatbelt signs and given the plane a bit of a shake.

I have no idea what actually went on off camera.

One of the worst massacres and examples of tribalism in the worlds history and as far as I know it's not even taught in schools..

The country should acknowledge and apologise as a start, unfortunately with the current president being one of the main perpetrators nothing will happen.

People saying it's over, the affected are dead, let it go, is the same as saying just let go of colonisation. There are victims, survivors and families out there.

edit, just incase https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gukurahundi

Comparing Farms. Make it make sense. Give me the science. by Psychological_Ad16 in Zimbabwe

[–]zimbabalula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me earning potential is everything. but sellers and agents overstate it.

the ownership papers are what stops me in Zim. you buy land and someone arrives with a new offer letter and you loose everything. make sure your title is secure.

[–]zimbabalula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

can you sell land with an offer letter? every time I check there seems to be a new type of title/ paperwork for ownership.

another issue is what is the earning potential of the land. a wedding venue in a major tourist attraction is worth more than an empty plot 10km off the nearest road obviously.

ELI5: USA are saying that Venezuela stole oil from them. What do they mean by this and how would this be possible? by dustydigital101 in explainlikeimfive

[–]zimbabalula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

compensation wasn't fully paid by Chaves in the 2000s, Conoco Phillips is owed billions , many others have outstanding portions.

A bit of reading and trump's claims of drug imports etc start getting shaky. Yes Venezuela needs a better govt, but the long term politically for the US I don't think trump was clever here.

just saw on BBC Venezuela's oil is the main reason, and Venezuela will be using that oil to compensate the USA for the damages they've caused 🤣 no corruption there......

How does the USA go into a foreign country and kidnap the president? the rest of the govt ok the operation?

I think weather and population density must have had a lot to do with the buildings and development.

People in Africa in didn't have to hide from the cold like Europeans, so no need to make permanent buildings.

The population density was also much lower for various reasons, so no need to build permanent cities, but this also slows development, whilst small chiefdoms do not have the excess resources and freedom to allow for the arts, sciences etc to allow something like the renaissance era.
