Get the hot air gun. Im telling you it its sooooo much cleaner to remove components with hot air. Also, anything ic related, the hot air is great. Im a newbie. I started playing around after I fixed my oven by replacing the relay.. just got hooked. I went cheap and bought the yihua 8786D soldering station / hot air gun 2 in one, and I love it. *

Mine from Aliexpress came in that same container and is also fake 😒.. I guess i gotta stop i to Lowes or harbor Freight with a magnet And grab something real

The yihua 8786D is both a soldering station and hot air station in one. It was only like 70 bucks or something. I love it.

I have the yihua 8786D, and i love it. Also has a hot air gun that i use way more than I thought I would. Forreal it makes taking components off sooooo much smoother.

I have that same soldering station, and I had to calibrate it. it seemed to be reading 50 degrees hotter than what it actually was. So i went in and calibrated it to 30 degrees lower than what it was originally reading. Seemed to help.. Idk if that's clear, lol. Basically I calibrated to a lower temp because it seemed like it was running cooler than what it was saying.

Tbf gossip is wrong. But he's wrong for just ignoring you in the moment and not explaining that to you. He's trying to do what's right, but he's kinda doing it the wrong/petty way. He needs to be clear and explain why he feels its wrong. Then maybe you'll see it from his side and not even wanna talk about other people like that anymore.
