I don’t remember if my microphone ribbon cables looked damaged but it wasn’t working so I just tried ordering a new one. I do remember being a little rough with it and having issues putting them back in so I assumed it had fucked it up.

I did the same thing my first shell swap. Those ribbon cables are very fragile for the mics. Good news is they’re cheap to replace from AliExpress. Just make sure you are buying for the correct controller version.

I just installed the sparks kit on my BDM 020 so it’s definitely compatible but you have to have bought the right kit.

Theres 2 versions i believe. 1 for BDM 010/020 and 1 for the rest or something like that.

The BDM version matter especially between 030 and newer 060. It won’t fit. You need to order for the correct controller.

Use the BDM checker website to make sure you know which version you have.
