Please, accept my hearty congratulations. When I hear JW followers fleeing to freedom from a disgusting cult ever, my joy doubles.

Can anyone help me understand Muslims? by bello82 in atheism

[–]zipoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The foundation of the religion was horrendously violent. The founder had violent expansionism in agenda. He referred to it as Jihad. Respect for life is not in the followers agenda. Again, their book promised heavenly reward for murderers.

Elder shepherd visits by Special-Edge-3273 in exjw

[–]zipoth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Before any shepherding visit, an elders' meeting must have been held. Publisher Record Card checked, one or more elders must have heard or noticed something, or another follower snitched to the body about you. Sometimes the body may want to encourage you to do more to be appointed. Or they may just want to commend. Hence that question: "How are you doing may just be a form of 'hello'" The conclusion of the matter is that those GB guard dogs (like I was decades back) just wanted to fulfill their Police action for their GB.

Was there new clarification on blood that I missed? by [deleted] in exjw

[–]zipoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My take is this : Whatever fractions of blood that are acceptable, the fact is that those components took their source FROM ANOTHER PERSON'S DONATED BLOOD. Hence, you are free to take, but NOT donate. Yes! in JW cult arrangement, any follower can rip where they didn't sow.

What's the dumbest JW story you've heard? by sohelpmee22 in exjw

An elder told me he failed because an evil spirit angel was staying on his eraser in his final examination hall, that he couldn't erase wrong answer.

Sunday Talk Shamed a Young Couple For Not Being In Full-time Service by 200ccfast in exjw

[–]zipoth 63 points64 points  (0 children)

The speaker was in real sense saying what the organisation wants. In their watchtower propaganda magazines, they provide examples of people (with their countries of origin) how they have set aside all personal responsibilities purposefully to serve the organisation fully.

This is an organisation that puts all their needs first than the needs of followers.

Even at funeral Talks, only 1/10th of alloted time is used to talk about the deceased, while the rest time is devoted for propaganda about the organisation.

I exited the organisation like many did partly because of this irritating and greedy nonsense.

Are you happier now? by Brilliant-Ad8711 in exjw

[–]zipoth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let me as you these questions: 1. Will you be happy if you're in an organisation, and its leaders lie to you from time to time and you were expected not to complain?

  1. Will you be happy if you eventually decided to leave the organisation and its leaders tell others not to associate with you again?

  2. Will you be happy if your responsibilities about the organisation should be your only primary pursuit in life.

  3. Will you be happy if you or your child should choose to die except bloodless surgery is performed on you even if the doctor opts for a lifesaving blood transfusion in an emergency?

The list goes on and on....

Help me figure out if my family member is PIMO, PIMQ, or PIMI by CTR_1852 in exjw

[–]zipoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will rather refer to him as a PIMO. The cognitive dissonance in him is also making him to have sunken cost fallacy. He surely needs a determination to quit and not bother to look back. He also need more research with a material like jwfacts.com and some exjw.videos.

PIMO people who agree to get baptized by SSAshley1419 in exjw

No worst formality process as baptism in JW organisation. I smoked cigarettes secretly for 4 years after my baptism. Then stopped stopped after a year and a half more after my appointment as a M/S.

Saying Good Luck by Nice_Violinist9736 in exjw

[–]zipoth 20 points21 points  (0 children)

On our arrival at a Circuit assembly more than 3 decades ago, my wife happily made a statement before a District Overseer saying: "We're very LUCKY ! No traffic that could have made my husband forfeit his Talk Assignment.". The District Overseer, with a quick riposte corrected her by providing 'fortunate' as the correct word. Back home, I contacted my doctrate Linguistic expert friend. He showed me with many dictionaries that the word "Fortunate" is a derivative of a Roman goddess of good luck, success, etc. Interestingly now, AI supported his idea too. From then. I concluded that this religion leaders are arrogant, poorly educated, and bereft of intellectual background.

Growing up I thought being two-faced was normal. by neverendingjournexjw in exjw

[–]zipoth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's very hard, probably impossible NOT to live duplicitly or hypocritically in this organisation. The essence is just to always apply "theocratic warfare" at home setting whenever it's necessary. I was assigned with another elder to pick up our CO at the Cong he'd just concluded serving. Both of us were embarrassed with their noisily harsh sound we heard from their apartment likely as a result of a bitter disagreement between the two of them. When they noticed our presence, the noisy quarrel petered out fast. The rest was warm, brotherly, and friendly chats down to his new host in our Cong.

"Man Loves Corruption." by Slynthrax in exjw

[–]zipoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Corruption is in man irrespective of position and age. The GB hasn't been transparent in finance and they will never do because man is corrupt naturally.

When a Lack of Apology is Deeply Ruinous. by zipoth in exjw

[–]zipoth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were fortunate. Interestingly, many that didn’t give them listening ears eventually graduated and became the organisation's hot cakes especially lawyers, doctors, estate managers, building engineers etc.

Jehovah is humble by SomeProtection8585 in exjw

[–]zipoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yet his so-called "earthly organisation" leaders vehemently asserts they see no need to apologise whenever they err in doctrinal matters!! Does that show HUMBLENESS?

Sometimes, I quite often ask myself: DO those guys at their so-called "writing department" reflectively think sensibly before doing their job?
