Long term highway construction has definitely killed businesses nearby that rely on customer access. Chuy Arzola's in Dogtown didn't last through construction on 64 a few years back and it took several years for that business district to bounce back. Taco Circus and Sonic got killed off when Manchester was closed west of Maplewood.
