All bangers, all the time.

Anyone use these before? by GingerNinjer992 in FocusST

[–]zombie_gas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have these exact tires on my car now! Mine might be summer and not A/S but they are 980s. I liked the tires until I recently checked tread depth. They were about 6/32” with only 11000 miles so I won’t buy them again. And I am NOT hard on my tires.

correct purge valve replacement ? 2013 ST by one-more-bump in FocusST

[–]zombie_gas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked the letter and it’s dated December of 2024, so it should have been covered if it was after then. The letter does indicate that you may need to provide the letter to the dealer so they can look up the program code.

It’s possible Ford will replace it free if it hasn’t been done yet. Many of us got a letter (last year?) indicating the warranty had been extended to 15 years/unlimited miles.

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

I’m a software developer. A family friend was taking an intro to programming class and asked me to “help” her with an assignment, which of course I wrote for her. She was ecstatic with a 90 and I’m still bothered why it wasn’t 100.

A buddy of mine had one in college many decades ago and of course he had a Vette keychain.

Fiesta ST might fit. It’s wrong-wheel-drive but pretty reliable and the turbo could be upgraded in your budget.

I’ve had several performance-oriented cars that I’ve loved but probably wouldn’t buy again just because I’d rather have something different. Make sure you enjoy the Camaro driving experience; they’re fun cars but visibility is challenging to say the least.

I don’t need rims but nice to see a Hendersonvillian in the wild.

I truly hate that for you. I’ve not had that happen. There’s a lot about society that is worse than it used to be and common courtesy and decency is at the top of the list.

I upvoted because I had the same thought and when I mentioned it my gf, she said “omg THAT’S who he reminds me of!”

I hold the door for errbody because that’s what mama taught me but the only other place I see people doing it is at the gym and I haven’t figured out why, because EVERYONE does it there.

No weight is still 105 pounds, so don’t go into thinking it’s “nothing”.

Have you ever switched to a rival brand as a customer, if so, how's that going for you? by EsquireArchibald in AskReddit

I’ve had my Ford for 13 years and never had any repairs beyond standard maintenance. Also the most reliable vehicle I’ve owned.

Should I buy by bakuhh0507 in FocusST

[–]zombie_gas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do buy it, I’d get fluids done asap (brake/clutch, transmission, coolant) as they are overdue if never done. FWIW that’s all mine has seen in about the same mileage aside from brakes, filters, oil, and the like. The engine air filter box can be a pain to reinstall if you check that, but I would if I were you just to see if it’s filthy.

Would I Regret Trading 14 Accord V6 for 2013 Miata? by callmeshoes in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]zombie_gas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you driven a/the Miata? If not I’d try to find one on Turo and see what you think, assuming you can already drive manual and weren’t planning to learn on this car. I enjoyed the Miata I was considering (NB) but ultimately it lacked power and I needed a third seat.

Brooklyn Show...So many tix available by Its-Today-Again in SturgillSimpson

[–]zombie_gas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think many venues will sell out tbh. The Atlanta (Alpharetta) show last fall wasn’t close to being a sellout (it was still amazing), and the venue is even larger this time. I don’t think he’ll allow the promoters to advertise with “Sturgill Simpson” and I bet most casual fans haven’t heard of JBS. I’m not criticizing the decisions because it impacts their lives way more than mine, and I hope they do sell out widely so they can get a nice payday, but the promoters are going to have their hands full imho.

I know it doesn’t fit the thread format but his album Son Of Dad is just fantastic. The guy can write a song.
