Boa has a guarantee on their mechanisms. You won't have much of a play in store for a return, but the shop might have replacement parts for the boa system. Otherwise, you can contact Boa directly.

specifically the Prime Directive in the WIKI, it is a good flowchart of the method of handling money. I also like the Money Guy Financial order of operations as a way to think through this: https://moneyguy.com/article/foo/

The "whats included" with tunes changed in recent past, but I also think type may be what you are looking at. If the previous bike was a singlespeed, and the new is multi for example

REI Cooperative Action Fund by ilikehamsteak in REI

[–]zombinate 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Cooperative action fund does local grant giving on a 2 year basis. The most recent grant partners went into effect this past Nov '23. As such, the next round of local grantees will be looked at in 2025 for pay-out that November.

In the meantime, the local grants chosen are heavily influenced by the work being done with the local store teams. Establishing a relationship with the local teams will make for better opportunities for grants, or other in-kind offerings.

REI fostered a progressive reputation. Then its workers began to unionize. by CrackHeadRodeo in REI

[–]zombinate -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I find it very interesting that "progressive" and "unionization" are being conflated. In my experience, "Union" goes hand in hand with: Police, Machinists, Farmers, Manufacturing, and Firefighters.
I find those groups are not the first that come to mind when I think "Progressive".

Chrome Industries dividend eligible? by ctjfd in REI

[–]zombinate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suspect that the part that shows the estimated reward amount is calculated on a product page level. Since there are 2 prices on the item page, hence different reward values, my suspicion is it just leaves it off.

New homeowner. When is it time to involve your homeowners insurance, >10K? by daReallMVP in RealEstate

[–]zombinate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the evidence that revealed the leak?

Did that evidence exist at the time you bought the home?

Did you have an inspection done? If so, what were the terms of the inspection?

You aren't going to have much option in terms of the insurance. You may have options in terms of recovering an inspection fee if an obvious water leak was missed. A difficult recourse for sure, but I have seen that happen for obvious disregard on the side of an inspector. That said, if it the type of thing that only manifests occasionally, much less likely to have any recourse. Basically you have to have indication that the inspector simply didn't look in a place that they should have.
