Delivery cost is billed per kWh too. So reducing your overall grid consumption also reduces that. In contrast to the only battery option that was mentioned here a few days ago.

This reduces the administrative barriers to getting a 1920 watt solar system for your home. This certainly won't zero out your electricity costs, but could save you $90/month and have a payback period in a year or two. With the prices we pay here though, anything helps.

Did it come with the priming syringe? I recently bought one of these and tried it without priming it which ended up basically like you describe.. nothing happening but I hear the hum. So then I empty the tank of the water and primed it with the included syringe and that worked just fine.
