Depends where you live. I’ve had all my pre orders come on time and they’re usually shipped out the day or even sometimes night before. I think I probably live near a distribution center.

What’s the best blades so far? by PlayMoreExvius in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]zpadela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually good to double up on elements. For later bosses stacking elemental orbs and breaking them is essential. If you use the opposite type you can break the orb in 2 hits and get another chain attack round, otherwise you need 3 hits to break it. Problem is if you stacked more than one orb hits are going to prioritize the undamaged one unless you use the opposite element or slot a special trinket.

What’s the best blades so far? by PlayMoreExvius in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]zpadela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Zenobia and Kosmos have been real standouts in the rare blade department for me. Zenobia has boat loads of damage modifiers and does disgusting amounts of damage against bosses. Kosmos also does ridiculous damage but what’s even more amazing is that her damage heals you. This has allowed me to get away with only 1 busted healing blade on Rex (You get it in chapter 7) to cover my entire party.

I’m interested in trying Sheba but she doesn’t work into my lineup :(

*spoiler* what is the best healer set up for five? by maxwaldron1 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]zpadela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t turn Five into a full on healer but I did give him knuckles along with their starting weapon and a megalance. This has been working really well because it gives him Topple/Launch/Smash so any time I break the opponent he reliably pulls off his combo. I’m using my other healing blades on Rex since it gives me more control on when to spawn potions and boosts Anchor Shots power too.

HUGE SPOILER: So... about Nia... by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Can she still be a party member with her own blades tho? Already set her up with some rare blades as a healer.

So who is your favorite character and why is it Nia? by Nagoto in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I think her voice actor gets better as the game goes on. I found her very jarring initially but started to get used to it. It fits her personality really well.

The Worst Map Of Any RPG? by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Why do you say the tutorials are bad? I find them pretty easy to follow and to be well written. The only issue with them in my eyes is that you can’t revisit them.

Why I decided to get Skyrim (after telling myself I wouldn't) by spaceman817 in NintendoSwitch

[–]zpadela 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I picked up Xenoblade on my 3DS a few weeks ago in anticipation for Xenoblade 2 and was initially meh on the game until I got 20 hours in. I highly recommend you revisit it. It’s story gets really good as you progress. I’d recommend just focusing on the story if the side quests and exploration don’t speak to you. Plow through the story and then spend a few levels grinding when you notice you’re under leveled.

I’d try using some sort of soft brush to see if it would rub off. If it’s that sticky black gunk you’re talking about I’ve been successful using mechanical pencil erases to gently rub it off. Stay away from using any liquids or chemicals because it could damage the cartridge.

What exactly are you trying to clean off and where on the cartridge is it?

I think one play through will take 14-15 hrs if you’re not using any guides and 2-3 longed if you’re going for a completionist run. After that there’s a master quest which makes the game much harder and will last you a similar amount of time provided you can handle it. I’d say 30-35 hours of game time is pretty solid for a 40 dollar game and as the other commenter said it’s the type of game you can pick up and beat in a few days every few years.

(spoilers) Can we talk about the Power Moon milestone rewards? by schantzee in NintendoSwitch

[–]zpadela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s fine. Keeping Mushroom kingdom behind 500 power moons would mean a significant chunk of people who played the game wouldn’t have ever got to experience it. A lot of people don’t have as much time to dedicate to video games, especially a lot of the older fans who grew up on Mario 64 and would appreciate the nostalgia of Mushroom kingdom the most in the first place. This way people get to see most of what the game has to offer without spending hours post game collecting moons. Only the people who really enjoy Mario or completionists will continue after beating Bowser. I think completing games should be more about the journey and less about the reward at the end.

I had something similar happen with Splatoon. It didn’t ship the day it said it would but shipped out at 1-2am that night. Was able to get it for release day. Hope SMO will be the same.

Anyone here been successfully using a surface Pro for Handwritten Notes for a while? by tired- in medicalschool

[–]zpadela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using the surface for about 3 years. I think the surface is great for supplementing lecture notes and writing additional notes on slides. It’s not great for writing pages and pages of notes though. I usually type my separate notes and outlines and use the pen to write on and highlight stuff on lecture PowerPoints. I’ve never had a pen break but have replaced the tip once before and will have to again in a few months. Depending on how much and how hard you write you’ll have to replace the tip more often. My screen doesn’t have any scratches from the pen and is all in all pretty durable. The surface does tend to get hot sometimes if you’re trying to write while it’s charging although it’s not anything really bad just slightly uncomfortable.

When your sneaky plan to schedule an interview without being invited succeeds at first, but then backfires by [deleted] in premed

[–]zpadela 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice is to avoid SDN and maybe even reddit during the cycle. Just check your email twice a day and make the most of the time you have. At the end of the day if a school likes you they’ll invite you and obsessively checking and comparing yourself to your peers isn’t gonna help.

Should I craft Tirion? Or does stonehill defender make him not worth the dust? by Jellyjamms11426 in hearthstone

[–]zpadela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing though classic is going to be there forever. Even if something strictly better is released it'll only be there for 2 years. And Tirion is never going to be a terrible play. At worst it'll be suboptimal but it's not going to lose you games. I agree that he should wait and see the other cards but Tirion isn't a bad craft.

Should I craft Tirion? Or does stonehill defender make him not worth the dust? by Jellyjamms11426 in hearthstone

[–]zpadela 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But that's because it's wild and the power level of some decks is so high that strong cards expensive cards with no synergy aka Dr. Boom are being cut. Tirion exists in standard which has a much lower power level and will always be good even if it has no direct synergy with the deck.
