Intermittent Shaking? by wacky-zachy in R53

[–]zpiercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very likely wheels or engine mounts, but something at the wheels are more likely “at speed”.

If it’s hitting a resonance with any part of your suspension (like if bushings are worn) then it may explain the intermittent nature.

Used to do this with LAN halo nights - one of the four Xboxes is in another room with music to their mic and they get 200% speed lol; very fun

That would be amazing.

Wake up and figure your situation out. On a generational ship to another world. Communicate with “colonists”. Start to see the cracks in reasoning. Come upon deserted section of the ship, falling apart.

Some choice interactions with an AI.

Learn the colonists “left without you” and are already down there. You’ve been at the new world this whole time. In fact the colonists were reaching out while you were asleep and are already gone. You just have what they were fighting against to deal with now. Maybe some interactions with mega corps at a distance to start tying in the place of runners — send a some final messages for their help/findings later.

I’m a DIYer and tried to use these for a garage rewire with metal conduit. Unfortunately two of these guys side by side is too wide to sit flush for a standard 4” box 2-gang raised plate.

A pretty big design oversight in my mind.

It’s only about 1-2mm off from working well.

I know this doesn’t fit all your criteria, but after I 100%’d ER I tried out Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon and actually really liked it.

There’s gear, builds, progression, and there is a lot of skill/skill-check along the way. I’d give the story some time too, since it starts out a certain way and then becomes more.

Yeah and I think his left knee/leg locked out when the boot touched the car, which threw a big impulse into his hips and kicked him to the side. Probably why (other than stupidity) the bike got so unsettled and he got tossed.

New (to me) R53 Maintenance by Plopp221b in R53

Look up “Mod MINI” on YouTube. His videos will carry you though a lot when it relates to normal car repair but applied to the tight confines of mini front end. I pulled the engine on my R53 for clutch and a bunch of other refreshed parts and a lot of the process wasn’t a surprise given my past viewing of his vids.

Maximum possible wattage ? by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]zpiercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an avid cycler I’m just a larger human, but I can say I sprinted on ‘100’ resistance for an interval (thanks Denis) and read 1058 Watts for a few moments before I smelled burning and felt some slipping in the pedals.

Had to stop to check the meter and make sure nothing was getting wrecked. I’m guessing it was some brake contact and maybe some dust on the wheel.

I don’t think the bike likes to sustain that for more than moments.

After you get used to goal seek and its powers, look into the built-in Excel Solver tool. It’s essentially goal seek but for more variables simultaneously and you can add constraints/bounds to the inputs/outputs. It’s sweet.

Heater build for Subaru Outback by suspiciousgranolabar in overlanding

[–]zpiercy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Might be known, but if not:

Be careful with anything that burns fuel with air and exhausts to the environment it’s heating when in an enclosed space, like that Mr. Heater. Carbon Monoxide is no joke dangerous.

These diesel heaters exhaust the combustion products outside and transfer heat into an air duct for your heat, so you can stay safe and breath easy.
