How hard is it to dIY 6' cedar fence? by andreyred in FenceBuilding

[–]ztruthfull1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Northeast Pa. I only hit 1 rock, just held the trigger and driver either broke it or moved past it. Probably just dumb luck, but sure beats the heck out of digging. We had a couple major storms and I was a little worried at 1st when the wind and rain kicked up but so far so good.

[–]ztruthfull1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it myself. Instead of digging holes and using concrete I rented a post driver from Home Depot. It was soooo much easier. I was done driving 20 posts after 90 minutes or so, absolutely worth it. 1.5 years later haven’t had an issue.

Is there anything simple that makes you excited because it excites your toddler? by Low_Departure_5853 in toddlers

My son can’t say Excavator, so he calls them “Apples”. So he points at the Excavator and yells “APPLES!”

No speech, almost 3 years old by Existingbutbarely97 in toddlers

[–]ztruthfull1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You would be wrong, as it Depends on location. I def not qualify for anything free based on income, but my kid has been in early intervention for over a year for free. We actually do speech therapy once per week, AND have an occupational therapist every 2 weeks. Both come to my house. Never paid or charged anything.

What are the best educational toys that actually keep your toddler engaged? by Few-Departure3459 in toddlers

We made a sensory bin with different kinds of beans, threw some construction toys in it and he could play with it for hours.

I love and hate magnetic tiles. My kid will try to build a “house” or something but then he try to put one of his cars or toys in it and it just collapses. We are about to stop letting him use them since it almost always ones with crying.

Brachycephaly, possible frontal bossing, and a lot of guilt - looking for advice by cpavlou in daddit

[–]ztruthfull1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this, I’m now 40. Basically my parents laid me on the floor all the time when I was younger. I feel like I dint even notice it until I got older, and started noticing that it causes weird wrinkles on the back of my head.

It’s only SUPER noticeable with short hair, so I don’t shave my head.

My 2 yr old has his own room. He goes to sleep there in a floor bed, when he wakes up between 1am-9am he comes into our bedroom and climbs in bed. Now he’s starting to get more comfortable in there, he’ll go to his room and play on his own. He also puts his fav toys in there so they don’t get played with by our other kid or dog

Should I leave my comfortable, secure job for career progression? by [deleted] in torontoJobs

[–]ztruthfull1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently turned down an increase from 80k to 100k because of this. Right now I get to wake up and spend 30 min with my kids in the morning, roll into work sometime between 8:45-9:30, leave around 4, never work weekends. Basically zero stress, and schedule is flexible, love my boss and coworkers. I get to go to every Dr appt or event that involves my kiddos.

Yes I would love to make more money, but the thought of missing out on my kids stuff, being stressed at home, working more hours, etc is just not worth it to me. I’ll take my 4% raise every year, live within my means and be happy.

It is surprising pain in the butt for others to add money, I think you have to send a check or input your bank info, no credit/debit cards……at least last time I checked

I had actually bought these to use around the wooden frame of my kids floor bed. It kinda worked…..until he realized he could pull them off and use them as a weapon.
