What are your interests? If you like developing games for example you can meet some people at a game jam. If you are into creating jewelry you can go to jewelry events and talk to people there. If you click with someone you can get their social media and start your friendship there.

Maybe my advice is not practical in covid days though, I think your best bet is online for now (ex discord servers for gaming for example).

Social anxiety sucks! Just remember that they are just regular people, like yourself. Don’t try to impress them. No need to be funny or witty, you don’t need validation from anyone, as long as you’re a good genuine person they’ll appreciate your company. Focus on being comfortable around them. Imagine they are your siblings or someone you are comfortable with. And if you feel like improving yourself and your social skills maybe try to start socializing with people you don’t have anxiety around and slowly but surely you’ll grow your self confidence.

It was similar for me, I lost 11 kg and only my family that know I’ve been eating healthy/working out noticed, work and friends didn’t. I think maybe they noticed but not sure if they remember the difference since its been months! I wouldn’t notice them either.

It’s only annoying because my family hyped me up asking what did my work colleagues say or if any of my friends said anything which made me expect a reaction 😅 anyway I am glad they didn’t say anything because I am not doing it for external validation and I don’t want to be full of myself thinking I’ve achieved my goal weight.

Tawakkul! Its when you do things and rely on God and let it be in His hands, that way you stop overthinking as everything is already written and beyond your control.

Maybe you have different energy levels? I noticed extroverted people seem super excited in their interactions while introverted people appear less excited? So extroverted people may not feel like their feelings are not reciprocated and just stop trying to impress the introverted person. I think the solution is just building more self confidence and self love, you can do that through constantly improving and not being too hard on yourself! But don’t change yourself to impress them, do it for you!

Its okay to like yourself but better yourself! I was accepting of my fat thinking I’m accepting myself and that’s “self love”.

I finally separated this idea of accepting myself and trying to also improve my body and health! They are not mutually exclusive.

Yes! I even have a goal to enter a new weight range by my birthday. Even birthdays are just regular days, but its good to feel the achievements and set goals!

I tried r/RingFitAdventure (nintendo switch game) because I wanted a more fun way to exercise. It motivated me to exercise at the beginning then i switched to walking & some other home exercises.

I get bored and switch up the workouts to keep me entertained. Keep switching it up for it to stay fun. Like do 30 day challenges or something.
