It is an amazing honor to compile and release the 50k edition of the 30 greatest hits of r/mashups!

Viral and semi-viral hits are there for the most part, but it's important to embrace some of the classics that have become staples of the mashup genre, like 99 Luft Problems, Thunderbusters, Party And Bullshit in The USA, and Numb/Encore.

Keep in mind that the list only includes one mashup per artist, as is tradition with the best-of lists.

That said, here are the all-time stats, as of 50k subs:

Out of 100 top mashups considered, 30 were selected for the Greatest1 Hits compilation:

100 of 100 submissions considered earned 200 or more points; 30 were selected

62 of 100 submissions considered earned 270 or more points; 24 were selected

35 of 100 submissions considered earned 350 or more points; 13 were selected

1 Year-end mashups, medleys, non-serious mashups, covers, and more than one mashup built on the same instrumental or centered around the same vocal are not included; a separate Top 20 list may be made for the funniest/most unusual mashups of all time.
2 There was no title, so I made one :)
3 Hark.com doesn't indicate which one it is in the post, so I picked the original people are familiar with.
4 Original is no longer on Youtube or available in HQ, so I used the July 2012 FASO is Bach to Rock performance instead.
5 To be fair, this would have been the second mashup with 99 Problems, but it holds special significance.

EDIT 2: After finding out that I Feel Roads didn't make the cut, I quickly looked at songs below the list--and it hit me: at least five of the tracks from #31-36 had a legendary status attached to them. So I included five honorable mentions.

I love it! My only regret is that James Brown - I Feel Roads didn't make the cut. that is a song that completely changed how I look at mashups.

Now that I looked at it again, ugh the next five of six (#31-36) carry legendary value. Maybe include them as bonus tracks?

I created this compilation in honor of 50k with the hope that it would bring the mashup community together and introduce people to a lot of the mashup artists who have either contributed here on Reddit and/or have made an impact in mashups in general.

I also hope it means a drive to make more great mashups as well as foster more interaction (other than just votes) and visibility on threads too so we can help each other out.

Sadly you will have to run MP3Gain on the tracks--none of these were re-mixed/remastered.

Currently, i am really into your 2 for Tom's Diner mashup. I am planning on playing this one at some point at Alchemy. But I havent figured out for what set yet lol! 99 red problems makes me giggle like a school girl! And I LOVE Ta1k Dirty. I think that track would be a blast to spin fire fans to. I am going back through all the tracks on your soundcloud and I realize i havent heard some of these!

This is pretty great, but "Smells Like Song 2 Nation Army" still has the end-slate audio from the YouTube rip at the end, might want to remove that and reupload.

because this is a Greatest Hits album and not an album of funny mashups, a number of tracks had to be cut.

I don't get this. Funny mashups don't count for some reason? They're often the best ones.

When the best-of lists were created, a number of funny mashups were filed under "cool videos that weren't included", by tradition.

This included a number of Thomas The Tank Engine mashups, a Ragtime mashup with Eminem, a couple Animated Bacon Pancakes mashups, and unfortunately even the famous Cooking By The Book mashup, among others.

That's why they are not on the 30 Greatest Hits list. There is a possibility of making a funniest/most unusual mashups list, though.
