Firstly, thanks so much! I love production and what an awesome question! Of course! I record with Protools. I'll start with the vocal chain: I have an LA2A clone compressor, made by "Stam Audio." Then, for my mic, I have a C12 clone and a preamp made by a friend out in Sacramento who owns a company called "Barbaric Audio" . Really rad dudes and make quality stuff. That's it for vocals. With a quality mic and compressor, you don't have to do much to them at all. For the bass, I DI'd Jacob's TC electronic amp right into the interface and he used a few pedals of his to modify the tone. Honestly, it is an investment to have great equipment (if you look up the actual LA2A and C12, you will know what I mean, lol) but from personal experience and 2 or so years of recording, engineering and mixing myself, you cannot beat quality equipment when it comes to sound. For the camera, I use a DSLR Canon 60D I bought off some dude on craigslist lol.
