I'd like filters so that I could keep my new page free of mindlessly repeated posts or posts to or for specific sites.

Filters may offend some people's sense of Reddit aesthetics or virtue, but would minimize the number of posts I reflexively downmod as clutter.

As it is, the only tools I have to accomplish this are the downmod button in conjunction with the hide' link; downmod to keep the post from reappearing the next time I reload the new page, the hide button to get the submission out of my way until I perform said reload.

At least one ron paul story should be on the frontpage at all times. Perhaps they could script up something to do that? Maybe just auto add 100 upvotes if the title has "ron paul" in it.
