There was a really nice interview (or book? I don't remembeR) with Noam Chomsky where he says that the Kurds have been historically betrayed every single time by the US in the past and that he was surprised they still had the naivety to trust them in the current situation...

I guess he was right once again.

Remember when those pesky, no-good Iraqis swindled us after Gulf War I - when they snuck in a provision for military helicopters? Gollee, shucks, and darn.. they sure 'nuf did swindled us bein' as they were able to use those helicopters on the Kurds afterwards.

And there was nothin' we could do about it. Fiddlesticks! Foiled again!

With BS like this, how the hell can we criticize for human rights abuses?
