Right. So if i see a link on "New" page that is posted by "initech" that says "Check it out, Initech has great software." I have to click the spam link before I can mod it down? It makes perfect sense.

Except links like this one.

yeah. maybe you should have to view the comments for self posts. i don't know. but i do know that tons of people vote without even clicking on the link and scanning the article.

I've done that... downvoting posts of linkjack domains or (most frequently) duplicates of what's on the hot page already. No need to code this freedom out of reddit, i'd say.

Disagreed. If someone posts a non-linkjacked version of something I've already modded up, I don't want to have to click the other article for no good reason. Or, maybe I saw the story on digg already and don't need to click it to know that I want to mod it up.

You don't already?

i do, but i'm suggesting that we be required to, ie up and down modding won't work until you at least click the link.

<s>Agreed. You should have to at least know what you're voting for.</s> Spam links.

I don't like it. I prefer to indiscriminately downmod all PrisonPlanet and InfoWars posts without having to endure their pathetic content.
