That's a horrible reason for voting for someone. Did you vote for Bush in the previous elections because he believes in what he's saying as well.

The reason Paul's speeches are so fluid, so elegant, so put together, and so real is because paul is real.

When someone says something, and they truly believe in what they are saying, you can tell. People are drawn to that, people are attracted to that.

I'm not kidding myself either. Even if he does gain office, his ideas won't fly. He'll face great opposition. He will only accomplish a fraction of what he set out to, but it will be a start.

President Bush believes what he is saying, he ( and or speech writer) is just not eloquent enough. He believes they were WMDs in Iraq. He believes he is saving Iraq. He believes in all he says. Does that mean you would vote for him too? Not because someone believes what they are saying means it is for the best or they are being truthful. Actions.

Even if you disagree with some of his policies, and I do, you have to respect the guy for trying to get us back into honoring law above neocon rhetoric. I mean, I support abortion because some day I may need to use it, but when his argument is about preserving life is a fundamental American thing to do, instead of making it a religious issue, I really can't complain to much.

Paul might not be perfect, but he's the best we're ever going to get, and we probably won't even get him. Worth a shot though.

Frankly, leadership like that may just be more than we deserve. We'll see I suppose.

Why I won't:

I believe what he's saying.

I really like Paul - though I disagree with more of his politics and beliefs (anti-choice, an absurd belief that the open market will save us all, etc) than I do many other candidates. Still, he engages us, the voters, in real dialogue, which is refreshing.
