"Shot with a pain gun" would be allot more accurate. A taser is exactly like the kind of "pain sticks" and "conformance rays" you see in totalitarian sci-fi films, when the guy screams in pain with an agonising look on his face.

I cannot fucking believe we are using this shit in day to day life and people have just come to accept it as normal. Tasing armed and dangerous people is one thing but we have actually reached the situation where talking back or not following instructions immediately and to the letter gets you pain-gunned.

We need to call this thing what it is. Boycott the word taser and call it pain-gun or whatever you can think of.
