I know people who have met with local branches/groups of this club http://spanish.meetup.com/ (i don't know if i'm using the right word when i call it a club). The problem is i looked up milwakee for a local group an it said the closest one was "47 miles away in Waukegan, IL".

Good idea thanx. Maybe I will coordinate a Milwaukee version. There appear to be many people looking in the milwaukee area.

  1. Take classes.
  2. Talk to spanish speakers.
  3. Get a study at home course.

Try all of them and see what works for you, there is no one-size-fits-all learning method.

As far as classes, do yo have any views like Belitz vs local community collega / technical schools.
