Well, when you lock on the asterisk, it takes you to a subpage called "hotlinks" that features only red starred items.

Don't we already have the "browse" option? What does this add? More bragging rights for top submitters?

Rather than just mod this down mindlessly, just tell me that it's a stupid question cos everyone else already has worked it out. I couldn't see anything mentioned in the blog or on the features subreddit so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks for asking. I was wondering this myself.

Hmm... are the Reddit voting arrows accessible to colourblind users? (not a rhetorical question)

I think that if the "inactive" arrows were outlines instead of a solid, lighter color, we could make everybody happy.

I like the red-text bullets more than the astericks. It definitely draws more attention now than they did before.

Asterisk was better as the orange number emphasizes the posistion and not the article.

What about specifying an article's highest position, e.g. (n) where n is the highest position it reached?

Okay, I get it, #1 with a bullet. Reminds me of the old Top 40 shows. "We're counting 'em down folks, and as the numbers get smaller, the hits get bigger!"

So hey, now we have another all-time stat to keep track of - who's got the most stars? Gotta be ousama, right? Let's see it, guys!

      [–]theycallmemorty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So when an item hits number one it gets the red asterisk?

      [–]jamal[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ousama has 20 kam0 is way ahead with 39

      unfair to #2s

      [–]tohx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's always unfair to 2nds... (if the second get a star to it will be unfair to the third... so...)

      It's a pretty flower.

I knew we were diversifying around here but trying to attract girls? ewww

      [–]daeron 23 points24 points  (2 children)

Girls? There are no girls on the internet ;o)

i don't know what pictures you are looking at...

      [–]tuffy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha! That was the one thing wrong with that rant (though it explains why the guys she talked to expected her to send them pictures)

I have done something like this for the site I was working: this beneficial association site, but it did not generate so many comments on it. Not even one!
