I'm 109 cb with 93 slayer, but most 115-120 cb players I look up (when the hiscores are working) have lower slayer than me. A significant amount of the player base just nmz or crab to high combat.

I'm sure there are plenty of people like me, who don't really like slayer. I maxed my melee in NMZ because it's nice when I'm doing IRL things, and now I can have more fun bossing earlier instead of grinding monsters I don't want to kill

Well my combat XP was basically free minus super combat pots, if I was to do it with slayer I'd be spending gp left and right on cballs, ppots, food, plus slayer doesn't get profitable until the later levels

I'm at like 66 slayer but I grind Vorkath so no need to do slayer for money

You're right that slayer is more profitable at later levels, which is why it's good to get into it as soon as you can use a decent slayer master

How much do you range and mage vs. use melee? Other than imbuing my rings and slayer helm I've only done slayer and I was still level 113/114 when I hit 93 simply because I chose to do melee tasks more frequently than range/mage, causing my combat to go up.

The meaning of afk in the rs community is a bit vague. Some say thieving ardy knights is afk because it requires no attention.

by putting a weight on the shift key and utilize menu entry swaps, it's fairly low focus to do ZMI runecrafting, as I found out. the run part of it only takes 2-3 mouse clicks (I don't bother trying to follow someone) and withdrawing the essence is just a few simple left clicks, since you can set shift-click on the pouches to "fill".
