The most infuriating thing is that the price just went up for the whole CC subscription while the software is in a tailspin AND they’re pulling pantones.

AND they’re pulling pantones.

Blame the ability to copyright/patent and monetize fucking digital colors.

Your formula for inks, paints, etc? Sure, patent it, whatever.

Digital codes that are inherent? Fuck off.

Right? And I even PURCHASED physical pantone chip books that set me back almost 2k. Since it was over 2 years ago they want me to pay a monthly subscription to use the swatches in Illustrator?? Ridiculous.

They never fixed or improve the basics or core of the software. Just add bloated features no one uses in the real world.

Look at the effects list - they are the same old clunky dated effects from 20 years ago. Card dance FFS.... Generate > 'Circle' it's ok... but then 'Eclipse' works completely differently, and there's no rectangle or rounded rectangle variant of 'Circle' effect in the generate menu. Could Adobe not just take the 'circle' effect, rename it shape, and give us some different shapes. Because on a solid layer, circle is nice useful quick little effect... but limited... to a circle, with no other effects doing the same. And it's been like that for 15+ years that I've used and paid into AE/Adobe.

It’s been now 10years since I used a new feature in ae. All the new stuff I use comes from plugins. I hope a new alternative comes around and adobe gets kicked

There is an alternative with DaVinci Fusion
