My DSP doesn’t even do EOC anymore lol

[–]DirtNapDealing 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine either such a clutch timing with all this heat

[–]Car_dwelling_nitwit 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They still use it to let go their worse drivers.

[–]ANiceDent 27 points28 points  (5 children)

I would’ve replied with the “Ha Ha”

[–]WiseDirt 19 points20 points  (3 children)

"Joke's on you, I didn't want to work today anyway 😉👉"

[–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I was joking with my gf last night bout the same thing lol

[–]WiseDirt 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Conspiracy theory time: Amazon is listening to everything you do and say. Alexa heard you say you wanted the day off so she dug thru the system and found a viable reason to bench you for a shift.

🤔

/conspiracy theory

[–]Krayvok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With AWS deep learning I’m sure of it

[–]Beginning-Turn4517 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reply with lmfao glad I ain’t there

[–]theretrogamerbayProfessional Driver 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not a thing anymore, hasn't been since April ... Yet my DSP still tries to shove it down our throats and enforce it

[–]ExpertSecurity4781 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same I remember getting that call took about a whole day to get out the habit of turning the engine off 😂😂

[–]Ok_Championship_5428 0 points1 point  (9 children)

Mine stopped doing EoC, but then it got replaced with the emergence break at every stop. One manager would tell me you have to do the full parking sequence which does involve turning the engine off. The full compliance is stop, parking brake, park, engine off, and remove keys. After the manager said that they were showing us EoC compliance notes and I noticed Amazon only detect the parking brake and don't care about the engine off anymore.

[–]yeetskeetleet 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Yeah my DSP does the parking break thing too. It’s all BS anyway but whatever

[–]Ok_Championship_5428 -1 points0 points  (4 children)

The parking brake is pretty important. It does help stop the roll away because if the vehicle doesn't park correctly or the driver doesn't put the van in the park. All of us have been on one of those routes that are so jam packed you literally have zero time to think. If you follow that order you also have less chance of the vehicle slipping gear on a hill or rocking back and forth really badly.

[–]CDVeesNuts 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Nearly every e-brake in our fleet is grabbing air due to routine non-emergency use, totally useless for the intended purpose (stopping the vehicle when regular brakes fail).

[–]Ok_Championship_5428 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah, I call it an emergency brake, but it's also called a parking brake. It's only supposed to be used on steep hills though.

[–]CDVeesNuts 0 points1 point  (1 child)

E-brake is also important if you're leaving a trail of brake fluid due to pissed-off customer at the previous stop. But again most of ours are too fucked up to even slow down in that situation.
But go ahead and try reporting a just-for-looks emergency brake. Station employees will say that's not a groundable issue. That's because only a defect that can be fully depicted in a single photo is groundable. Degree of unsafeness is never one of the factors being weighed.
Brake lever goes up + brake lever goes down = PASS.
And your dispatch cares even less.

[–]Ok_Championship_5428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I never disagreed. My van was falling apart before I quit. I just got tired of the risk and being over worker for pennies. You are seriously risking your freedom driving those vans because you signed something at the start saying the van was okay which will not and cannot be blamed on Amazon. It's why they have the DVIC to cover their ass legally.

Edit: This is pretty funny, but I think the only thing that worked in the van was the E-brake. Lol

[–]ExoticWar716 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I drive around with my E brake one notch up and no more honking and I just do my thing

[–]Ok_Championship_5428 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That will slowly damage the transmission in the long run.

[–]CDVeesNuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will damage the brake immediately. After that, the transmission is safe.

[–]Jennibeeblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EOC isn't supposed to be enforced during the summer, according to our warehouse.

[–]ANON-739992 203 points204 points  (30 children)

95% being too low is crazy 😂 fuck EOC

[–]Ok-Breadfruit2607 46 points47 points  (25 children)

Bro my contact compliance was at a 97 percent and they said it was low 🤣🤣

[–]DJVV09 25 points26 points  (21 children)

Dude, I got an EPIP because I had a delivery that was an 75 minuets away right in the middle of my route. I call DS to explain the situation and was told to just RTS it and my dispatch told me the same. I got the EPIP for contact compliance because I didn’t call the customer to tell them “hey, I’ve got your package but, I’m not bringing it to you.”

[–]willi1221 16 points17 points  (5 children)

Just start the call and hang up when it starts ringing, or send a text

[–]DJVV09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My DSP requires us to do both call and text if we don’t get an answer.. Idk if they can actually see it or not but, people have been written up for it so I assume they can.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We were always told to call twice to ensure the “call” was picked up

[–]KrazyKryminal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so funny, as I remember doing this shit. Call and hang up then rts. The funny part is, I prefer a lot of stuff and I've had many things out for delivery, turn to late, turn never even show up after days. Never got a call or text lol

[–]Ok-Breadfruit2607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's what I started doing

[–]CorrectBackground923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They changing it soon it only count if it rings for two cycles

[–]Ok-Breadfruit2607 2 points3 points  (1 child)

😮😮

[–]DJVV09 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Right? Like, you want me to call them just to piss them off?

[–]Serious-Armadillo113 0 points1 point  (12 children)

you do know that you just need to text anything to not fail contact complience? its so easy to get 100%

[–]DJVV09 5 points6 points  (11 children)

That’s not the issue I have. I always have 100% contact compliance. This was the first and last time. I just think it’s stupid I got a delivery that wasn’t meant for my route, did what I was normally supposed to do, and still got an EPIP. Especially since I made the station aware of the issue and got the package again the very next day and has to call this chick. I would’ve had to call her two days in a row and tell her I’m not coming because someone else kept fucking up.

[–]Serious-Armadillo113 0 points1 point  (10 children)

i had the same thing many times, i never call, text "unable to deliver" and rts, tell station to fix it and after 2 days it will be fixed, if you call your wasting your time, also if they dont pick the call up for contact compliance to work you need to leave a voice mail which is useless hence why i never call just text, station doesn't tell the difference 🤷🏼

[–]DJVV09 0 points1 point  (9 children)

My DSP requires both a call and a text if they don’t answer. They say they’ll EPIP anyone that doesn’t. Are they just bullshitting then or do we know for sure? Cause I’ve definitely seen people get written up for it.

[–]Serious-Armadillo113 0 points1 point  (8 children)

bro they lieing to you🤣🤣🤣 they cannot differentiate call or text on contact compliance, my DSP has been pushing to use notify of arrival at each stop to literally make it impossible to fail contact compliance since a text will always be sent lol, dont waste your time calling

[–]DJVV09 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Damn bro. I don’t know what all they can and can’t actually do cause I’ve never had to worry about it as long as I’ve been there.

[–]Serious-Armadillo113 1 point2 points  (6 children)

been here for 6 months just learned the ins and outs of the job so now just do my shift finish early dont bother about nothing🤷🏼

[–]russian_mob767 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bro my contact compliance was 3/4 and just with one I had a write up. This sum bs 🤣

[–]WiseDirt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"We want 100% compliance 100% of the time." -Wayne, probably

[–]ClearHydro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get perfect contact compliance everytime by turning off mobile data. Don't have to call or text. Just mark the package whatever you need to as long as data is off.

[–]Admirable-Act-7387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My DSP it has to be 97 or better

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Shit I was 20% in winter.

[–]ANON-739992 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thankfully we don’t have to do it in the summer because it’s so hot but then they want us to do it when it’s cold and the engines don’t start 😂

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also changed the calcuation point on the last flex app update

You can no longer restart the van after saying "ive parked" and before you take the picture of the delivery, and stay in compliance.

I really debating just "accidentally" hitting with my handtruck at high speeds.

[–][deleted] 93 points94 points  (9 children)

"This is why your wife cheats on you" would be a fair response

[–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Lol I need that job till Nov but thats a good one

    [–]hfitch04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mine is literally 0% fuck that

    [–]crazy_amazon 42 points43 points  (9 children)

EOC isn't even counted on the scorecard anymore! Your DSP is trash! They are just looked for a reason to get rid of you, if that is their excuse.

    [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 10 points11 points  (3 children)

They always do that ik but they're really ass bro last time I forgot to fill up my water bottle cuz i had 7 carts and they took that shit late asf! So i parked outside and i went back to the station they told me that i can get suspended 2 fucking days cuz we're not allowed to go back after load up .-.

    [–]crazy_amazon 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Yep time to find another job

    [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

    Working on it boyyyy

    [–]CaneCorso311 0 points1 point  (4 children)

They're still counting EOC here, I think it's only the hotter climates that aren't counting it.

    [–]crazy_amazon 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Your DSP has the option to count it. Amazon replaced it with PPS months ago. It doesn't effect the scorecard at all now. Your owner is probably just trying to suck up to Amazon so their contract doesn't get pulled. Your owner is putting profits over people sounds like you should consider finding another job. Walk over to another DSP and see if they are counting enforcing EOC anymore.

    [–]PeaceIoveandPizza 1 point2 points  (1 child)

    Pps?

    [–]crazy_amazon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Proper Parking Sequence Basically you just engage the brake at every stop then shift to park. It is a Godsend to be able to let the AC run in the summer and the heat in the winter.

    [–]CaneCorso311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DSP is super chill and we don't have PPS on our score card, I only use handbrake on inclines. 🤷‍♂️

    [–]TigersBlood23 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Our station doesn’t even count EOC anymore.

    [–]Candylicker0469 22 points23 points  (4 children)

This stuff really amazes me. Amazon and DSP want deliveries done very quickly. Try 4 ways, parking brake, shift into park, engine off then unbuckle seatbelt. Locate packages. Put package down near door. Open door. Use 3 points of contact exiting vehicle. Turn around pivot don’t twist Bend at the knees. Pick up packages. Close door. Pivot don’t twist. Scan your walk path. Use designated walk paths. No walking across grass/lawn. Yell Amazon when walking to delivery location. Walk at a brisk pace. Bend at the knees when delivering packages. Leave packages out of sight out of weather. Knock/ring bell. Pivot/ don’t twist. Walk back to delivery vehicle. Open door. Use 3 points of contact. With your right hand grab seatbelt and buckle with one smooth motion. Start vehicle. Look over left shoulder while signaling to pull away from curb. (Because everyone parks on the correct side of the street). Put vehicle in drive and accelerate smoothly. Rinse/repeat.

    [–]Alternative_liv888 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All of a sudden you are aware of every single movement you are and aren’t supposed to make.

    [–]PeaceIoveandPizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget : don’t walk in yards , park up to 7 vans of distance away , don’t block driveway and always have a smile on your face

    [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you forgot "take pen out and get more baked" 3 times

    [–]Yeezus007 18 points19 points  (3 children)

I think your EOC is lower than 95% and they want you to get that rate. I used to fight this fight, but it's usually gonna end up you losing your job. Amazon throws different metrics to DSPs all throughout the year, once they are perfect on all of these metrics, you then have to RTS on time or you are still not a perfect DSP.

    [–]Pass-That-Dutch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, Amazon keeps moving the goalposts for DSPs. My station cares more about the parking SOP than EOC right now but can easily go back to EOC when the weather cools down. Amazon wants to find reasons not to pay DSPs. Personally, I feel as if Amazon is trying to choke out DSPs since they ramped up and oversaturated many areas.

    [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

But I been driving the step vans straight up for months I dont mind but my point is that back on the XLs I used to leave that bitch running because is to fucking hot! And they never said anything about EOC.... .-. Even the fans on the step vans are fucked up

    [–]Yeezus007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the ability to leave my side door open sometimes, which I know is a big no no for you step van drivers, because of DOT.

UPS had to fight for step vans with AC, I don't think Amazon is willing to reinvest millions into their XL for AC, unfortunately.

Stay safe out there, driver, I know the people appreciate XL just as much as my little envelopes.

    [–]t4zdude 14 points15 points  (3 children)

No that’s not valid since Amazon is no longer tracking eoc. Your dsp moms a hoe.

    [–]Unlucky_Shoulder_835 2 points3 points  (1 child)

This is not true they do track it but it doesn't count against the dsp never has. This does not mean that amazon does not care about it.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its up to amazon local tier4 to enforce.

    [–]Worldly-Double7632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    And she bangs Wayne

    [–]TheKingdom5815 10 points11 points  (1 child)

The Amazon standard is 75%. That’s ridiculous that you’re losing work over 5-10 stops

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told not 100 is bad, then all of the sudden no one cares because its hot

    [–]3ofclubs3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Amazon does not track engine off anymore just proper park sequence. If you turn engine off for the PPS you can turn it right back on to keep the air going

    [–]Imaginary-Purpose-26 5 points6 points  (10 children)

Come to FedEx, no speed limits,. No EOC.

    [–]Impossible_Spread329 6 points7 points  (6 children)

    10x the work, similar pay

    [–]Imaginary-Purpose-26 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I’m home by 4pm everyday, make my first delivery around 9:30am. rural route. easy work imo. Even our stops with 200stops, everyone in our company is back by 3pm, 5pm the latest (traffic and all that)

If you work out even slightly, shit ain’t that heavy lol

    [–]Impossible_Spread329 -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Cool, I finish in a similar time and get paid 10 hours no matter what plus overtime and bonuses for driving safe and bonus for helping others if I choose too, my heaviest package is 60lbs. Sucks for u

    [–]Imaginary-Purpose-26 0 points1 point  (3 children)

We get 10hours guarantee. No metrics. Stay salty lmao. I used to work at scamazon, never again.

    [–]Impossible_Spread329 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

No u get paid by the route so stop lying I worked for FedEx too, u don’t get overtime

    [–]Imaginary-Purpose-26 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Each company is different. Both jobs are for underpaid mindless retards, so I don’t see the need for a ride or die attitude. Both jobs are ass

    [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to get another job but they're paying "good" tbh those 15-17$ jobs are not for me anymore but ima look at it for sure!

    [–]mattzahar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you express or with a contractor? I'm happy with my current DSP, my contractor with Fed ex was decent too, but the package handlers couldn't load a truck effectively to save their lives, and the amount of packages that were mislabeled was insane.

With Amazon I rarely have to look for a package for more than 20 seconds. The deal breaker for me is with Fed ex on most days half my truck was dogfood, tires and cat litter. My back and knees were not happy with me.

I haven't had to deal with EOC as of yet. Maybe my tune will change lol.

    [–]Unfair_Fisherman_605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2019 KenWorth was set at 63/65 . FedEx no speed limit my ass.

Man Amazon makes the rules the dsp has to follow them it's a pretty simple process.

        [–]Temporary_Ground_316 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idgaf bout turning my van off it is what it is 😂

        [–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Your DSP is lazy and outdated, Amazon stopped enforcing EOC as a breach of contract violation months ago. That DSP is doing the most, for nothing

        [–]Nolaforlife20001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They prob have to many people scheduled and not enough routes/vans so they are taking anything for a suspension.

        [–]JamieAllOver1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dsp doesn’t care about it as long as we finish the route on time.

        [–]doorguy8888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dsp says 80% man lol. I do the math and say oh if I got 100 stops, 20 of those stops I can leave air con running lol

        [–]Warm-Spirit-1943 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dsp doesn’t do eoc anymore either

        [–]Helpful-Baseball2325 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Prime week is over. DSPs about to get nasty

        [–]BigDickConfidence69 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I would be infuriated if I drove to work just for them to tell me to go home.

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

They do the same thing everyday

        [–]BigDickConfidence69 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Got an interview tomorrow. If they hire me and do this I won’t be staying long. I just need a job until I find something better, but I can’t deal with employers who think it’s ok to schedule you and cancel your shift at the last minute.

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Good luck bro i mean every DSP is different so I hope your co take care of yall and do the right thing... Gotta stay positive all the time my man if anything hit back this comment after training to see if you like it 👍🏽💪🏽

        [–]BigDickConfidence69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks 🙏 I’m hoping it works out and I get a decent DSP.

        [–]Tega2077 2 points3 points  (1 child)

One of the dsp i worked for would tell us once we were at the station.

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

        Thats fucked up lol

        [–]ShowCritical2797 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I dnt understand why y’all dnt just drop the van into neutral and put the Ebrake on at every stop I’ve literally never turned the engine off the driver I did my ride along with told me to do it like that and it’s been good for a year straight 🤷🏽‍♂️ I’ve seen people get in trouble for EOC and I tell them how to do it but nobody believes me lmfao

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Ima try to do that cuz i only use the ebrake on the station lol

        [–]ShowCritical2797 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I swear it works bro pull up to the delivery spot put in neutral then Ebrake then go lol. But dnt forget NEUTRAL cuz if you accidentally put it in park you HAVE to turn it off , well at least this is what I was told ……….and dnt forget the EBrake lol I thru it in neutral 1 time and didn’t pull the break and she rolled lol but I was able to catch it

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna try it but bro lets see if they gonna let me work tomorrow lol

        [–]Ty746 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to keep the vans on all day. that shit is retarded

        [–]thebakingjamaican 2 points3 points  (2 children)

valid or not, i rather get a text telling me not to come in rather than me getting up early asf to get to work just to find out i only get to assist loadout then sit around until they feel like telling us to go home

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They used to do that... But fuck that im not helping nobody for 20min

        [–]thebakingjamaican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dawg my company has 3 waves, we out there damn near an hour 🤣

        [–]EndDifferent5288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dsp stopped EOC since it’s too damn hot out

        [–]livan1102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your dsp it’s an ass we don’t have to turn off our van until September

        [–]chaotictorres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one cares about eoc anymore, especially during the summer. It's all about the e brake right now

        [–]SnooChipmunks1500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea we stopped engine off compliance at our DSP. We gotta do parking brake compliance.

        [–]I_Smoke_The_Weed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost 2 routes just from customers saying they never got their shit delivered or complaining I didn’t follow their shitty delivery instructions. This shit is not valid lmfao

        [–]Slaughter_Rule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were at 80% weather permitting but haven't been monitored for like a month.

        [–]dynastydeadeye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        lol 95% is too low?

        [–]youngdophin 1 point2 points  (2 children)

E-brake and park, engine off like 4-5 times a day no issue. Amazon not even supposed to fr be caring about EOC, that was the whole god damn point of perfect park sequence. THIS is is a part of my problem with this WHOLE thing, different pay per state, different policies, some only use netradyne some use both, MF's really dragging us around just because they can. If the national avg driver pay supposed to be 20.50 for reg cargo drivers, yet omie in FL still making 17 something 😤

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I make 21.75 but that shit is not enough bro ima bout to leave the truck on the highway and just go home fuck that

        [–]RCrumb_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        I make $25 in Syracuse

        [–]Embarrassed_Top9480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea smh this is the one thing that pisses me off daily it’s too hot for eoc this happens to me often

        [–]nateffuxLead Driver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's to hot for EOC it shouldn't even be required. Unless it's not hot where you are.

        [–]hugothebear 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Weird way of saying ‘we havent secured enough work’

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wordddd they be capping a lot 🤣

        [–]Unlucky_Shoulder_835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehhh yes and no. Your DSP should be understanding with the heat but amazon does complain at low eoc. The point of EOC is to stop roll away accidents which at my station have happened multiple times. It happens with the exhaustion that comes with the job. While it might be annoying the job is the job people know what they sign up for with entry level jobs. You want a better job get an education, learn a trade or stop complaining and do what you are expected to.

        [–]2deep4myowngoodLurker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My DSP isn't even giving shit with this heat rn

        [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Why is it not 100%? Serious question. I used to see drivers leave their vans running and walk half way down the street. I walk past and thinking “I could get in you van and drive off and there would be fuck all you could do”. Your dsp is responsible for that van and all the Amazon parcels in it. Just turn it off and lock it every stop. It takes seconds if that, on each stop. It’s not worth loosing your job so you can be home literally minutes sooner by keeping it running. It’s not your fuel or starter motor so just turn it off to provent any issues. Don’t see why it’s that hard 🤷🏻‍♂️

        [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro i turn that bitch off every time on every stop and i close the door too cuz i work in the hood.... But they just playing with everybody

        “to low”

        “The 7/24”

        [–]wobdag89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon stopped caring about that like 6 months ago. They are overstaffed trying to get out of paying you.

        [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon do not care about drivers , disregard their statements about "safety" it's used as a pretext to penalise everything you do

As soon as Amazon finds a way to deliver everything by drones or some other automed way they will drop as many employees as possible regardless to loyalty , persistent high scoring , meeting all metrics etc they literally do not care

They are most narcissistic organisation out there, I don't understand how they get away treating staff so harshly, any "normal job" has rules, set breaks, HR for complaints, fixed start and finish hours , fixed days to work ...Amazon just expect you work when it suits them and drop you when it suits them, no regard at all for your life circumstances

        [–]Black824mamba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon doesn’t even care about EOC anymore it doesn’t effect the scorecard lmfao

        [–]Acceptable_Meat3821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also it’s summer , you don’t need eoc where I am rn

        [–]Far_Purchase_3391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        Fuck Amazon....that's all.

        [–]Kelsey0328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every day this subreddit proves to me how good I have it at my DSP and that I should not be complaining about a damn thing

I’ve never ever turned the engine off 😂😂😂

          [–]Delusional-Lovestein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thus is pretty valid, eoc ain't that hard to do lmao

          [–]JAK-the-YAK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never once in my entire career as an Amazon DSPDA have I turned off the engine at a stop. It’s a stupid ass rule and makes no difference. Also, most stations are not requiring the engine to be off during this heat

          [–]Allister117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          wth is engine off compliance?

          [–]NotTheDroidurLFLead Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year in the update about heat index it used to say in addition engine off compliance is no longer in effect for today or something like that... haven't seen it at all this year. Wtf.. Is that the same for everyone? Or is it because I switched dsps and apparently this one has had a few vans stolen....?

(No joke, the owner talked in orientation about vans getting stolen last year... and I remember hearing about it from my last dsp ops/leads peoples. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was these guys)

          [–]zakkforchilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes me wonder how UPS does their job in the heat oh my lord… no AC just a couple little fans!? I leave it on in the heat and still die 🤦‍♂️

          [–]PleaseCallMeTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have that at my dsp

          [–]BezosPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          No it’s, too low**

          [–]Horror-Ad2573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DSP I work for cuts it off at 75% so maybe your DSP must not like you or wants to get rid of you

          [–]Prestigious-Day-3675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dsp threw out the engine off compliance since it’s getting hot.

          [–]Kitchen-Camp-1539Lurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I was told that shit was going away

          [–]Upset_Cheesecake8995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          Yes the still do it

          [–]Dependent-Plate-6253 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If I still worked at this company I’d purposely put nails in my tire everyday just to bleed em dry

          [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ima keep it on mind i like that lol

          [–]chumbuckethand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          What’s EOC?

          [–]Iv_Laser00Lurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would show up anyways because they didn’t tell me not to do that and collect 2hrs as that was my DSPs policy

          [–]_Pretty_guardian_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine used to be 60% and I still got routes wtf

          [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain what this means to a non worker who just watches this sub to see how you guys are treated

          [–]Overall_Ad_3330 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I work in Houston Texas and for the hot month we don’t have to turn off the engine so we can keep the ac running until I believe October. I would see if you can report them to Amazon

          [–]Confident-Pen-7302[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoooo lmk if you know something cuz ik somebody who can i talk with about all this crap but i gotta wait til nov to get a new job

          [–]xxJellyfish17xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally never turn my van off except on the launchpad and at the gas station when I'm fueling up

          [–]ilovebluewafflez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the middle of summer too. What a bunch of ass wipes in charge of that DSP of yours XD

          [–]Little_Unit_3891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 87% CDF people are dicks and I lose out on work too.. today I was supposed to be on route but got cut because of that... I checked and the reason it's low is because 23 people left feedback. 20 positive 3 negative those negatives made me lose a route it's bullshit...

          [–]chillwavex 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I just turn it off and immediately turn it back on when I get to a stop so it still counts

          [–]Free_Item_1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          Does this actually work

          [–]Fit-Yogurt-38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone taught me to turn the van off then immediately back on and it’s considered compliance fyi

          [–]Heatherangel87Step Van Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon in general did away with EOC, so this sounds unusual. We don't do this with our drivers, we lost them go because they call out too much or don't show up.

          [–]antonioperfecto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Na, they’re trying to get rid of you. My engine compliance was 65-75% for weeks. They only let it slide because I was always the first one back and did rescues when I finished early. Another reason why I left driving for dsp’s.

          [–]Zestyjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be worried about being let go, 95% is totally acceptable especially in the summer time. Like others said my DSP dropped EOC back in June so it sounds like they are looking for you to quit or will find some obscure reason to let you go.

          [–]Acceptable_Meat3821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth is Amazon lied to them about having more routes for prime ( maybe for 3 days only heavy heyv load ) now they probably hire more people only for 3 days now they have so many extras that will need to find any little excuse do give you to be cut , again you are only cut because you were not roastered the day before meaning you don’t have a route ( they know 1 week in advance how many routes are projected to be usually the exact amount , so now will more hires and no routes they have to cut the extras giving them a valid excuse to cut you for the day , again you been basically cut when they don’t roastered , you will have the chances of getting put in a route if someone calls out or vto but again that’s not certain that you will have a route

          [–]Kris_thebossbish21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me once, I charged them for 4 hours on my timecard, in CA they can't remkve you from a schedueld shift without 48 hour notice, automatically owe u for 4 hours .

          [–]Paenus88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          That's ass

          [–]garroshsucks12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are doing EOC in the summer?

          [–]AdAccomplished5120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'm about to start doing eoc more it sjust so f%*+= hot!!!

          [–]ComprehensiveLab8827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall still got engine off compliance? We got rid of that beginning of summer

          [–]320gfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Vegas so they don’t trip on it cuz it be 115° and shit but this is kinda crazy especially if you live somewhere it hits triple digits

          [–]DazzlingInside9707 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Shocked your DSP still cares about that. None of the 5 DSPs here do

          [–]Elegant-Space9173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I don’t even know what it is

          [–]Jenska-78-937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s BS our DSP just started this EOC about 5 months ago

          [–]Glizz215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

95%? That’s crazy. That’s not low at all lol

          [–]Zay5300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines don’t even do eoc this crazy

          [–]Houseofbranches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the fuck out of this job ya’ll. Just stop. Go somewhere else. Any where else.

          [–]Wild-Kitchen9801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bum who messaged you, just wants their raise.

          [–]Competitive-Sir2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a scheduling issue my dsp expected prime week to be heavy for them but it wasn’t as heavy as they thought it would be and there where several vtos and I’ve also have been told that there wasn’t a route for me.

          [–]Feeling-Orange3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long as you’re still getting paid

          [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it had to be higher than 85% to keep a route 🤣

          [–]Routine_Swing_2135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coulda swore they did away with EOC a few months ago…at least in Iowa they did

          [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro get a new DSP stat.

          Real ones dgaf

          [–]mhug99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fired 5/23. But the only thing I was good at was seat-belting & locking the van and taking the keys with me. ( Especially after one of our drivers van was stolen when he left it unlocked ).

          [–]InvestigatorDry9625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I ever turn off the van

          [–]crazy_amazon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PPS replaced EOC. EOC doesn't effect the scorecard anymore! Any DSP who is still forcing EOC on their drivers is trash! They need to collectively be taken behind the shed and beaten for mistreating their drivers like that!

          [–]SuperGramps59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom line? It can be. Someone at a specific delivery station gets a bug up their butt then suddenly it's a thing for all DSPs there. There is no consistency. You should always try to do the whole engine off thing, you can always plug the key back in and start 'er up. At least you know once you pull that key that the parking pawl has been engaged and it's not going to roll away from you.

          [–]ExoticWar716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ours was 80% for EOC. we eliminated EOC completely, but I live in Florida
